The hotel is in a good location, a walk away from the subway. The rooms are big and they have an onsen that you can use at night, a good way to relax. You do have to pay extra if you want to check in early, and there is an additional city tax when you check in. All in all it was good!

WARNING FOR THE LADIES: There's a HIGH chance a guy can randomly walk in the women spa because this hotel's keycard is freaking SHARED and can open BOTH the women side and men side spa!!! Mistake or not, it doesnt make up for how extremely EMBARRASSING this event was for me to have some random guy simply walk inside the ladies spa while youre BUTTNAKED, because this hotel thought it was a great idea to have one keycard open both ladies and men side spas?? After the "incident" I immediately reported to the front desk, guess what? They did NOTHING, didn't even bother helping us because we were Americans. We even had to call the cops because they were being so unhelpful with the situation. The management staff handled this whole situation so poorly and didn't even apologize for their failed security for the safety for us women. I just spent 4 hours talking to the police while they just hid in the back room napping or something. Bluntly, the hotel management and staff just simply did NOT CARE!! Zero remorse how their guest felt unsafe in the spa!! Even the front desk man with glasses looked SO freaking smug, he was smirking the whole time this was happening showing zero remose. It almost seemed he was enjoying it or found it amusing... Seriously, RUN!!!!! Save yourselves the humility and your hard working money, you can find a better place knowing youll be safe from prevert randomly walking in and acting stupid saying "it was a mistake." Mistake? The door labels are colors red for women and blue or men, even says it in plain English!! Saying "sorry", doesn't mean jack or make you innocent when it's obvious they just wanted to enter the ladies spa to get a good look at some naked ladies. Enter at your own risk ladies, keep your towels on and little ones covered up.

7-11 right across the street. About 100meter away from a bus-stop and a lot of train stations are nearby. Daily cleaning of the room. They even have boardgames for you and your friends/family. Room is smaller than picture shows though.

Location: conveniently located a short walk away from a subway station, its only a few minutes away from Kyoto station and everything else connected to it. Convenience stores and restaurants are right around the corner so it's easy to find what you'd need. Staff: extremely friendly and they speak English. Check-in went without a hitch. Room: I had a large family room. It was one large tatami mat room with a restroom. The couch was made up of sections, about 4 ft wide, that unfolded into mattresses that the futons were laid out on. This setup was comfortable, better than many Western style beds I have slept on. The room was clean and typical amenities were present. Other: the hotel has a public bath divided into men's and women's on the first floor. It is a good size and kept very clean. Key lockers are available for use in the changing room. Breakfast was served to our room. It was a simple cold Japanese bento box. Nothing fantastic, but nothing to complain about. Food brought to my room to start the day is convenient at the very least. The short version: good location, friendly English speaking staff, clean and comfortable, has a public bath, and would absolutely most definitely use again.
