Pros: - Bed was comfortable - We were able to check-in early at no extra cost (with advance notice) Cons: - The room was tiny, the bed filled most of it, and the furniture filled the rest. - The shower and toilet were merged. We are used to them being in the same room, but the shower head was literally on top of the toilet. - There was a large opening between the main room and the bathroom. All smells and damp air were shared. - Very noisy, from other rooms, the street, the restaurant in front, and incessant beeping from some equipment.

Vlodge has to be one of the greatest places we have stayed - the kindness and hospitality we received from the staff here are memories we will cherish forever. The rooms are extremely clean and spotless we felt so comfortable, the cleaners do an incredible job and are so beautiful. Very peaceful and quiet, we couldn’t hear a thing from other rooms which was amazing as I am quite noise sensitive. Lastly, the food was incredible so many yummy vegan options for breakfast including pancakes, smoothies, club sandwiches, waffles ect, and then also an amazing thai menu. A little hidden gem that needs the recognition it deserves! A special mention to Nuna for helping us book tours, always running around going above and beyond for everyone :)

If you need a basic, comfortable, clean and affordable stay in central Chiang Mai, this is your place! I’ve stayed here twice now and I’ll continue to each time. The first time, I was moved from their sister property Chedi Home because of overbooking and the owner gave me a good rate on their suite room. It’s a great room! Very large. Too large for a solo traveler like myself but no complaints! The second time, I was in a standard room and it was still roomy with similar furnishings (desk and mirror, mini fridge with complimentary waters, a/c and comfy bed. All within walking distance of Thae Phae gate. And guests are free to use the pool at Chedi Home. Such a great value! Oh and don’t forget to check out Cat House restaurant next door. The hotel has a restaurant too but I haven’t tried it.
