Very beautiful hotel, we enjoyed our large suite on the 23rd floor with beautiful sunset view. Staff was welcoming and accommodating with our 2 year-old. Only thing they have to improve is the breakfast situation - people are waiting in line to be seated which I've never experienced in a hotel. The food was otherwise delicious.

I first encountered the W brand about 20 years ago when I stayed at their location at Union Square in New York. Until then I always wanted to stay in midtown and frequented the stuffy Waldorf Astoria. I liked the history of the place and knew it well. But it wasn’t really my demographic. The W was radically different in terms of branding and the customer experience. The staff all dressed in Hugo Boss and made a point of being casually crisp. The alarm in the room next door went off early the first morning and after 30 minutes I called the front desk. I’ll be right up with a hammer came the reply. Fast forward to neon soaked Osaka 2024. There isn’t any place in Japan more suited to embracing the kitsch esthetic of the W brand. While the staff were friendly and chill, they weren’t overly concerned about being hip. They did forgo the mind numbing keigo formality of Japanese hotel culture. So there’s that. The hotel is much as I expected. Lots of bro humor, neon signs and pop clash. The esthetic matches the city. While it’s loud, it does have pockets of calm. Room wise they deliver on amenities and comfort - but as an aging Gen X, I was a bit out of my element. The Ritz Carlton is more my speed. I’d give top points to the location (easy access), the pool and sauna (on my top list of must haves), breakfast buffet has loads of healthy options. There’s a lot to enjoy here. I bet the pool area is a party spot in the summer. The lounge hops to the best on a Saturday night. The W has its place for the party set but you see a lot of families who seem lost in translation. It’s an experience.

Amazing experience at the W Osaka! The hotel has a modern and slick design that is very impressive from the first step in. All of the staff were very friendly and they held my bags for me to explore Osaka as I came a few hours early. Check in process was easy and the card keys were made of wood so that was unique! Beds were comfortable and the view from the room was amazing especially at night. Room was very clean and housekeeping was the best. I came back to a clean and organized room everyday which made relaxing very easy. Breakfast at the hotel is a buffet style with French and Japanese foods. They had a wide variety of fresh juice and smoothies and well as coffees upon request. Everything I had here was pretty good and of high quality. I recommend trying the breakfast here at least once. Location was also good here as there are multiple entrances to the station a few minutes walk. Also the shopping street Shinsaibashisuji was around a 10-15 minute walk and had a lot of stores to visit as well as a department store and Pokemon Center. Dotonburi is also just a few minutes after Shinsaibashisuji. Overall I had a very enjoyable stay thanks to the incredible staff and service here. And this was by far the best hotel I stayed in during my trip. Will definitely come again the next time I am in Osaka.

Design is nice and rooms are big! Breakfast is very nice - have porridge and fish. The only thing to add - would be great to have executive lounge And one more thing - some motorcycle drivers drive around hotel LITERALLY EVERY NIGHT - I guess it’s their favorite spot to spend time together. And windows not good enough for soundproof. So have to use earplugs every night.
