We did a private desert safari here and the panoramic views of the desert, surrounding rocks and hills, and stone formations was amazing! It’s now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are plenty of viewpoints that you can easily hike up for amazing views. We also visited the bust of Lawrence of Arabia and the adjacent small canyon. It’s easy to book camel rides here during your safari, and there are almost 200 desert camps here to choose from if you want to have an overnight stay here. Take the time to see this amazing natural wonder and beautiful landscape.

A lifetime dream come true. Amazing place. The name "Wadi Rum" means "Valley of the Moon". In Arabic Wadi Rum is a valley cut into the sandstone and granite rock and is the largest wadi in Jordan. It had everything I had read about towering cliffs, canyons, and desert landscapes. To think it has been inhabited for thousands of years dating back to the Neolithic period and it was vital for trade back in the day.

A great place to visit with an interesting landscape. Many different movies were filmed in this location (e.g. Lawrence of Arabia, The Martian, Prometheus, etc.). Our trip was a half a day trip in jeeps which we enjoyed but you can also stay overnight in camps (well it's more glamping than camping, they have showers, hot water, beds, etc. and you get to enjoy the sunset).

What a beautiful place! The entire Jordan experience had been mind-blowing. I never knew how beautiful Jordan is and how much it has to offer. A great and more interesting alternative to European countries ;) We did a jeep tour of Wadi Rum. We made stops at some cool places, and took beautiful photos. We then had a buffet lunch at one of the tent camps. I wish we had more time to explore. Will be back some day!
