Room was a bit small and had the essentials except for a wardrobe or drawers to store your clothes which was something that seemed to be the standard in Japan and we didn’t like. The room had two beds quite comfortable, a tiny table, a chair, a stool and a small piece of furniture with a tiny fridge and a few stands where you could at least store some things. Bathroom was okay, the tap was both for the sink and for the shower, very interesting. Employees at the reception were very nice and friendly. Hotel has a dining space in the ground floor with table and a microwave. Location was kind of convenient, close to the river, 15 minutes walk from kyoto station and 10 mins walk from some temples such as sanjusangendo.

It's a 10 or 15 minute walk from Kyoto Station, so very close to a major transport hub. Prices aren't too bad either at 8,000 yen per room without a reservation (I had to get a room with friends at the last minute). There's a laundry room with 2 machines. If you use them, be sure you have a couple hours free (basic cycle takes one hour to wash, one hour to dry). Good enough for cleaning a couple outfits. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, and showers run hot. Air-cons run cold. Perfect after a long day of travel.

Super cheap when booked ahead - big room for Japan. About 10 minutes simple walk from the central station. 7-11 across the street. It is between the river and the canal, the canal is a lovely walk and has several restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Perhaps not the easiest location if you don’t like to walk - but most places I went were 30 minutes or less away on foot. There is a subway close but I only used it once. The laundry is poor. Staff are eager but a not always helpful.

Super happy with our stay. The service was impeccable! They were fine holding our bags at the front desk for the day after checkout since we could not make it back to the hotel in time to catch our train for our next hotel in Tokyo as we had planned to do a quick day trip come back and get our bags. We were anxious about leaving our stuff but they took care of it and were accommodating with our situation. I have to give them extra credit for that

We choose this Hotel because of the price and location (near KH Line, Central Station 10 min walk) and it‘s cheap, in addition rooms are quiet big for Japan (around 19 square meter). However, if you get used to the cleanliness of japanese, you should not stay there. They don’t clean the rooms everyday - that‘s ok. But some parts of the room never got cleaned (see pics). Next time, we will stay at another place.
