The main reason for staying here was the location, I stayed for one night in a twin room, the bed was comfortable and while the room was small it was fine for somewhere to sleep, the ensuite bathroom was quite tired but clean. As it's several houses knocked together the corridors are narrow and some of the rooms are in the basement and the stairs are quite steep so if you have mobility issues this might not be for you. Overall fine for a 1 or 2 night stay if you're spending all day out and about.

A solid 2-star hotel with amenities provided as advertised. A mini fridge was not given, however, towels, hairdryer, kettle, tea/coffee, basic shampoo/soap were provided with the room. The only downside was that the bathroom light and fan switch was finicky and did not turn on or off as appropriately so, but with ear plugs in, my sleep was not affected. The location was safe, quiet, and close to the trains and other shops. Service was friendly.

The location is very good as walking distance to Train stations (Underground, Eurostar, Inter City). The room is very tiny with limited space, a.k.a Compact. Stairs are very narrow but expected given the place is compact.

Booked this hotel very last minute and it turned out to be a great choice! As you know, hotels in London are very, very expensive. Spending as much as I did per night near me would yield me a much more luxurious hotel room, however, given the location, the value is excellent. First of all, the hotel is very vintage and historic (aka old) however I found it charming! The room is of course dated but very clean. The bed was very comfortable. No AC, however they do provide a fan and heater. The fan worked perfectly fine during my time and even provided white noise for me which I need to sleep. The shower had excellent water pressure and very hot water. The sink was extremely tiny even for me, but it got the job done so no real complaints! The location cannot be beat. Literally right down the street from Kings Cross which to me was very important. Getting to anywhere in the city was so easy and such a breeze. Although you're near a major street, the soundproofing in the windows is fantastic because I did not hear anything once I closed it. The is no elevator which of course sucks if you have to lug heavy luggage up the tiny and narrow staircases. The only real negative thing is the WiFi, it's basically nonexistent. One of the night's it literally didn't work at all. The only reason I'm not rating it 5 stars. Otherwise, this is a great hotel to stay in!
