I almost don't want to give a review because I want to ensure the place is available for me! OK for the review, this place was absolutely amazing! Right off Duval St but quiet once on the property. the property had great amenities. The pool, outdoor seating, breakfast and scenery were out of this world. the room was super clean, the ac unit worked great, the shower had hot water, the bedding was fresh, the room service was excellent. We will definitely be staying here again.

We stayed 12/1-12/6/23 for a quick girls trip and stayed in 201 at the Olivia House. The office staff was always very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was better than what most other hotel chains offer (5 stars there!). Location is perfect and right off Duval and only a 7 minute walk to Mallory Square. The only drawbacks were the noise of the neighbors on the porch in the unit next to us until 3-4am (although that is not the hotels fault), but the sound really travels through the doors/walls. You are also woken up each morning by the dumpster trucks doing early morning pickups (usually around 4am). The room could use some updating and the ants will surely find you if you leave any small crumb or an unwashed glass in the sink. We had a mid-size fridge with freezer in our room, which was more than plenty to store leftovers and other small snacks/drinks, a microwave and a handful of ceramic kitchen dishes (also a plus!). Some days we came back from our room late in the afternoon to find cleaning service still in the room or they haven't arrived at all. For a quick trip I would definitely stay here again, but anything more than 4-5 days, I'd probably go somewhere else a little further from Duval because it is rather noisy, but that's what I wanted (location), and just didn't realize how much of the noise would travel through the walls. Oh, and parking, that can be a pain at times but after a few circles around the block, we did always find a spot within 1-2 blocks of our room.

Wicker Guesthouse is directly on bustling Duval Street in Key West, Florida. I stayed here and enjoyed the convenience of being able to walk to many places in the old town with its grand and quaint buildings, shops, restaurants and bars. Wicker Guesthouse was also within walking distance of landmarks, including the President Harry Truman's Little White House, the Southernmost Point in the United States, and the Ernest Hemingway and Tennessee Williams homes. Most welcome was the air-conditioned bedroom with bath. Although the room was small, only about 8 feet wide, and a very narrow bathroom with shower, sink, toilet, plus ample towels, soaps and shampoo, the room did have a mini-fridge and a coffee maker, a ceiling fan, and not one but two air-conditioners. In fact, at times, it was too cold. It was a great relief to escape the 98% humidity outside, where sweat would show through a t-shirt after a walk. The polite receptionist said courtesy parking for the car was included at a spot around the corner. Breakfast by a pool surrounded by palms was behind the main building. I was delighted with unlimited coffee, orange juice, toast, delicious fresh bagels, butter, marmalade, cream cheese, hard-boiled eggs, and cereals with milk, served buffet style. If you are looking for a reasonably-priced, clean and central place to stay when visiting Key West, I highly recommend Wicker Guesthouse on Duval Street. There are several deluxe suites and rooms off the quiet pool area.

Love this hotel! It’s quant and has the old town vibe of KW. There’s no staff that works harder than the Wicker team and Gigi at the front desk is amazing. She worked through a little reservation hiccup with us and had us taken care of in no time (this wasn’t a Wicker issue). We visit at least once a year, and there’s nowhere else we’d stay. Also, the location is perfect. We took an Uber from the airport to the Wicker (about 12 mins), and walked everywhere else for 10 days.

The location is great but sadly that was the only thing that really made it a decent stay. The facility itself could be cute but the rooms are 90’s dated and terribly ugly. Our door had gaps large enough to see light coming in. Our room was near the pool and the light came through the blinds making the room too bright at night to sleep well and then there was the noise level as well. Our room had small ants and roaches. Our bathroom sink was slow to drain. Bathroom had no air in there so always felt warm and humid in there. Paint cracking, cabinetry in poor condition, along with tile from the 90’s. Even the picture hanging over the bed was off center. For the amount of money this cost I expected a cute, older, even vintage feel. Instead it felt like a low income housing apartment.
