Woodbrook on the Avenue

The room I stayed in was clean, spacious, well organized. Cupboards were fully stocked with cutlery. The ac could have been a bit colder though, probably needs servicing. Contactless communication really surprised me. The main gate was remotely opened for me to enter the property and instructions were given on how to access the room from outside via telephone communication (thanks to covid), why not use the technology right? The parking spaces however is quite limited and tight so u definitely need to be an experienced driver to squeeze your way in and out. Close to restaurants and the busy nightlife on the avenue. 6/10 for me

I have noticed when owner does not like the reviews he claims that the person did not stay there, or he does not know them. Cannot simply just say sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. Well, I booked for three nights. He knew I was arriving because of this. Yet the property was black and no one in when I rung the bell? No 24 hour reception, despite travellers arriving anytime? Luckily a fellow resident let me in, or else I would be hanging around on the street corner in the pitch black. About half an hour later owner arrived, saying he did not know when I was arriving? There should be someone there on reception due to the number of apartments. Also he could have contacted by email. He claims he did not know, yet he had already contacted once before to say that I would get my requests? He knew I did not have a phone, and so I always emailed. Like for instance if there was no toilet paper, etc. Slow to respond to most things, or not at all. Anyways, I had paid for a villa, but was given a small room at the front. I did not book this small room. It was late, I could not be bothered. Next day I requested what I had booked and paid for. He felt I had paid too little for the villa. I paid the advertised price? He reluctantly kept avoiding to move me. He said later. Then he said someone was in there, (should of been me), then he said the Cleaner needed to go there. All so many excuses to fob me off. By that evening, which was the second night, I contacted Agoda. Then he was suddenly OK to move me. However by now it was way too late, as I was about to sleep. I would have had to pack everything which was all over the room. It was 9pm So by now it was technically two nights in a room that was not the sized room I had paid for when I booked three nights. With one night remaining, I just stayed put. If you don't want people to find a good price, then simply don't use booking sites! I reckon it must have happened heaps of times. Double book the room, and keep giving the cheap room away, and re advertising the big room. More cash. And the owner was money hungry. Way too greedy. Place is unmaintained and in total disrepair, yet it says recently renovated. Who is the owner kidding? If it were in a worse state it would be uninhabitable. Knows nothing about public transport. He is too above this, and turns his nose up in disgust. 'I have never used public transport in my life'. 'Only my workers use public transport'. 'All three of us, (family), use our own cars, as we have one each'. So, swanning about in a massive 4x4 humongous Dodge like vehicle is so humbling, not. Quite an obnoxious proprietor, in most things he says. I don't believe anyone needs to act like they are above anyone, or that they are so special. Too good for this or that. This is what this chap is like. Please remember you can have all the money in the world, but you won't take a cent of it to your grave.
