If unwashed, period stained bedlinen left from a previous guest is acceptable to you then you'll love this place! Yes, that actually happened and I didn't even notice until the end of my stay. Staff didn't even care. They hire out the cleaning duties to another company and that company clearly takes shortcuts to maximise profits, not caring about the customer experience like hotel management should. So expect dodgy cleanliness. The location is excellent and if you just need a place to sleep while experiencing the best parts of London it wouldn't have been a bad option if the UNWASHED PERIOD STAINED SHEETS (!!!!) were dealt with. A proper apology would have been nice but I didn't even get that.

I travelled to London for 2 nights and stayed with Zedwell. The staff were very pleasant upon arrival and all through to checkout. The hotel was calm and quiet with minimal noise levels. As the hotel is underground, there is a dependency on one elevator, yet I did not run into any issues. I stayed in the Cocoons with one double bed, the room was surprisingly spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom and bedroom had a modern tone. The location of the hotel is super local, with Soho very close. A downside would be that the security key for your room is via an app on your smartphone, and upon request of a regular hotel card, no other option was found. For another weekend in London and I would happily consider staying with Zedwell again.

Be aware of hidden costs! If you plan to leave your suitcases at the hotel before or after check in/out.. expect a charge of £15 per bag! To check in any earlier than 3pm.. £40! The rooms have no furniture, resembles a prison cell, -5 levels down means no windows. The AC doesn’t work so take water as the heat is intense. The “double” beds.. are a SMALL double! Over all… pay more for a hotel when you book and save yourself a sleepless night with a hidden sting to the pocket!
