Frequent sanitisation is carried out across the terminals, and sanitiser dispensers are also placed at various touchpoints at the airport.  
As per the current guidelines, passengers are forbidden to board domestic flights after arriving on an international (Vande Bharat Mission/Repatriation) flight. We encourage all such passengers to get prior approval from the relevant authorities before boarding the flight from their origin destination. 
There are two terminals at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. 
It is advised to arrive 2 hours prior to your domestic departures and 4 hours before departure for your international flights.

An Unaccompanied Minor Passenger is defined as a child between the age of 5 and 12, travelling without the presence of a legal guardian or parent. This term is used in immigration law and airline policies. YP or Young passenger is a child between 12 and 15 years of age. Please check with the airline for further information.

In most cases, it is safe for women to travel by air with a normal pregnancy. However, a fitness certificate is required by a doctor, certifying that the pregnant lady is fit to travel by air. Yes, all international departing and arriving passengers can buy from the duty-free shops. It is mandatory to have your passport for making any purchase from the duty-free area.   
Medicines in limited quantities necessary or appropriate for the passenger during the journey can be carried. For larger quantities, a doctor's prescription is mandatory. Please get in touch with your respective airline for more information.

The drop and pickup zones are available in front of the terminal for departure as well as arrival. These can be used to pick up or drop off passengers free of charge. However, there is a charge for parking the vehicle in the parking zone.

The minimum age for children travelling alone varies between 5 and 16, depending on the airline. Please get in touch with the airline for more information. 
In your hand luggage, you can take medicines and special food, such as baby food, which you will need during the flight. You may have to provide accompanying documentation. 
It is mandatory for everyone entering the security area to go through the security check and scanner. However, the metal detectors that one goes through during the security check generate a low-frequency magnetic field to detect metal. It is comparable to an electromagnetic field generated by standard electronic household devices. Hence, passing through the security scanner poses no harm to you if you are pregnant.
