Kilchoman Machir Bay Single Malt

Kilchoman Machir Bay Single Malt is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Kilchoman Distillery on Islay. It was first released in 2012 and has since become one of the distillerys most popular expressions. The whisky is made with 100 Islay barley, which gives it a unique flavour profile... that combines smoky peat notes with sweet fruitiness and hints of sea salt. The name Machir Bay comes from an area near the distillery where wild machair (a type of grassy dune) grows along its shoreline. This expression has been matured for four years in ex bourbon barrels before being bottled at 46 percent ABV without chill filtration or added colouring agents, allowing all its natural flavours to shine through.
