It covers an area of 310 acres and is operated by the Airports Authority of India. The airport has a single passenger terminal with a total capacity of 75 passengers in its arrivals and departures. About Jabalpur

Jabalpur, earlier known as Jubbulpore, is a city in Madhya Pradesh. It is said to have been named after the Arabic word Jabal, which means granite boulders, found abundantly in and around the city. Jabalpur lies at the edge of the Narmada River and is known for the marble rocks found along its bank at Bhedaghat. The city is also believed to be the birthplace of snooker – a game said to be invented by British Army officers when they were posted in Jabalpur in the 19th century.


Jabalpur has a rich history. The city was once under the Mauryan Empire, evident from Ashokan relics dating to 300 BCE found near Jabalpur, before being ruled by the Saatvahana dynasty, Gupta Empire, and Kalachuri dynasty.
