About Daman Airport

Mumbai International Airport (AITA: BOM) formerly called Sahar International Airport is officially known as Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. The Chhatrapati Shivaji airport was built in 1940 and was used by the military during the war years. In 1958, a new terminal was opened, and in 1972, the airport was taken over by the International Airports Authority of India.
