To be honest, the maintenance of this hotel is too bad. Some of the lights in rooms are not working. There was a bad smell inside the hotel when we reached, may be due the sewage plant opposite to this. The restaurant was not at all clean when we reached. The swimming pool water is not changed frequently. I could see beach sand under the pool. I doubt why people were giving five stars for this hotel. Also the water bottles in room. Usually we have two bottles, here we just have one. We have to call them for extra water. But still it has some pros. The view is really beautiful, there is path to private beach facility which is so beautiful. The beach area part of this hotel is clean and good. Next thing is complimentary breakfast. The breakfast was too good. The items as well as the taste. I used the spa facility for head, neck and back massage and the service was really good. But the price is so high compared to others. But for the price point, we need better service and maintenance. I have been to Elixir, Munnar and the service there was extremely good. We gave the same price there was well. That made me write this review.

Poor. Apart from good location of the hotel, everything else is messed up - untrained reception staff, very young immature manager, very unhygienic kitchen, unclean restaurant, very poor maintenance of the hotel rooms - basic facility like refrigerator don't work. One incident, when asked about non functional refrigerator, the staff (including the manager and housekeeping person) claimed that they have fridge in all the rooms which only "maintains" temperature because it is just a fridge with a fan. God knows how a hotel can sell lies to the customer just to avoid basic maintenance. The corporate GM number the hotel shared to address my grievance, never picked our call. Room service food rates are reasonable but kitchen is very dirty and managed by untrained and unclean staff. The view from the hotel is surely good, but the experience overall from food to room experience made the stay very poor. Not recommend able.

We stayed here to celebrate my wife's birthday. The check in process was a bit rough because of miscommunication. The overall experience was great though. The staff is polite and went over and above to make sure we were comfortable. They even decorated a nice area for the birthday.

The rooms and the location is mind blowing!! The Hotel staff upgraded our room and gave us a Top Floor Suite room for 1 night which was very kind gesture by them! Rooms and Gallery is huge and view from it is breathtaking! Food needs some improvement! Overall awesome stay at Elixir Cliff Beach Resort Overall - 5/5 Rooms - 5/5 Location - 6/5 (extra 1 rating for view) Food - 3.5/5
