It's a great stay considering the price. It's right in middle of jungle , quiet , beautiful, serene and natural. REMEMBER TO REACH THERE BEFORE 6 PM IN EVENING as it's gated place with military at gates. Pros 1. Very quiet and right in the jungle 2. Walking distance 15 min....to the periyar boat landing site. 3. Large green spaces around 4. Affordable prices Cons 1. Rooms are below average 2. Monkey nuisance 3. Can go to city after 6pm as it's military area. 4. Food not so great

Location is good; but before entering you have to complete some formalities like check in @ forest check post and then only you can enter inside the KTDC Properties. One more thing to add; you can go outside(in Main Market) after 6.00pm because they are closing gate also you can not check in after 6 pm if your room/hotel is inside the forest. This property is far from main town (Approx 4-5 km).

This lodge is located inside the periyar tiger reserve,The overall stay experience is not good , The only concern here is the food at their restaurant. They have to consider the food quality and the taste. And the sad part is you cannot go out and eat or schedule any other plans as the entry to the guest house is restricted @5:30pm. Beyond that you cannot come inside. So you have to plan for your food. Rooms were not so clean ,and bathroom fittings were not available so it was big trouble for us.

This lodge is located inside the periyar tiger reserve and I have visited during the first week of Nov2023. The overall stay experience is good as it rained during that time. The only concern here is the food at their restaurant. They have to consider the food quality and the taste. And the sad part is you cannot go out and eat as the entry to the guest house is restricted @5:30pm. Beyond that you cannot come inside. So you have to plan for your food. The weather was awesome and we enjoyed completely.

I stayed for two days with my family. Location was awesome and the people working there also great. Service was very appreciable. Deluxe room was very clean. I booked Superior room it was not that much good and clean. I complained about room and then room got changed to deluxe. Deluxe room is worth for the money but smaller size than superior and don't have balcony. Especially I would appreciate the security who helped us to show wild animals (Porcupine). I want to come back and stay again.
