Location is great. Rooms are small but clean — standard Euro-style bargain hotel. The hotel would do well to improve its taxi/car service for guests. My partner needed to get to SAW airport, and the airport offered to set her up with a car (seemed like a good deal, and we felt we could trust the hotel). The car arrived five minutes late and the driver proceeded to ask intrusive and inappropriate questions of my partner and drove aggressively — he seemed to become angry when my partner declined to pay an up-charge to take a toll road. He responded passive aggressively by taking side roads, driving through neighborhoods and even stopping for gas (what cab driver takes a passenger without enough gas to get them to the destination they have hired them to get to?). This erratic behavior was frightening, to the point that I had to go down to the lobby (at a time when I was supposed to be packing for my own flight) to urge the hotel staff to contact their driver. They did so, but seemed to take the driver's side in the dispute. They explained that the issue had something to do traffic and tolls (seemingly unfazed by our reports of aggressive behavior and stopping for gas and a beverage mid-trip). The hotel manager did offer to keep the phone line open until the driver dropped my partner at the airport, to assure me of her safety, but if things have come to that they have already gone terribly wrong. Only when we had opened this line of communication did the driver finally get on the highway to the airport. I would encourage the hotel to be more discerning in its selection of drivers, especially those they are hiring to drive women passengers alone. This experience was a nasty and terrifying end to an otherwise lovely trip.

I had an extremely harrowing experience with a hotel-arranged taxi ride from this hotel to the airport. I feel a responsibility to share this experience with other potential visitors to this hotel (especially women) as a warning. Through hotel employees, I arranged for a taxi to pick me up and bring me to the airport. I paid the hotel in advance for this ride and was informed I would not have to pay the driver any additional costs. Hotel employees shared that they knew this driver (which they later denied). Upon getting in the taxi, the driver immediately asked who I was saying goodbye to at the hotel (my partner), and then demanded more money from me if I wanted to avoid traffic. I politely declined. He asked how much I paid the hotel for the ride and started directing anger at the wage being provided to him by the hotel towards me. The driver then proceeded to take side roads for almost the entire way, stopped for a drink, stopped for gas, and at points yelled at and berated me throughout the 2 hour drive (which should have taken less than 1 hour). I felt progressively less safe as the drive continued, and at times was unsure if I would even even make it to the airport. I called the hotel after and shared my concerns. My request for a refund was denied. They were extremely dismissive and defensive. Hands down this was the most awful, harrowing taxi experience I have ever had — arranged and defended by this hotel. I don't get the sense they take concerns around women's safety, or operating with integrity at the least, very seriously. Please be safe if you choose to stay here! ** In response to the hotel manager: Claiming you or your employees who arranged this taxi ride did not know the driver is simply a lie to save face. Also, I was charged more than indicated in the response below. Just to be clear. Even still, it would have been a fair price for a safe ride with a driver who did not berate me for the wage he was being paid by this hotel. You should really aim to do better rather than deny your role in this situation.

Location was superb and the staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially for any questions we had regarding the wonderful city of Istanbul. The rooftop is also very nice and has a nice view out to the Bosphrous. Overall I would highly recommend this location and had a wonderful stay here.

I had a lovely stay at Ada Hotel. The room was very clean, had everything I required. It was also very assessable to the areas I wanted to explore. The staff were lovely. I really enjoyed the company of Sener and had many a conversation about life, what was going on in the world, general chit chat. He also provided me with lovely things to do locally (museums, restaurants etc). He really made my stay most enjoyable. I would have no problem recommending this hotel to anyone. It's was perfect for what I was looking for. Thank you Victoria
