Akra Antalya

Nice hotel,lots of different restaurants/bars.There is a swimming pool,also inside.Big gym with good machines. The staff is friendly.Huge BUT,we did not take into account that the hotel is not only for adults.So every morning we woke up to screaming moms, screaming at their children. The insulation is terrible, you can hear everything.

This is the best city hotel that I have stayed in for a long time. First of all the hotel is in a great location , it’s spotlessly clean , the Spa , indoor and outdoor pools are great, the water is pure and just the right temperature, after freezing cold in England , one feels spoilt swimming outdoors in January . Furthermore, the food is amazing and fresh here , there is so much choice in the open buffets , one can’t help but taste many succulent dishes . There are many Vegan Options as well . My most favourite has been the breakfast buffet where one can have freshly squeezed power shots , such as ginger , avocado , apple , beetroot and many more , I felt revived and upgraded . A lovely surprise from the front desk , we had our room upgraded when we arrived - and got fantastic views overlooking the sea and the gardens and the 4 outdoor pools . The evenings are mesmerising under the stars in the balcony where the sea waves make a natural lullaby . Then the next day after we checked in , Guest relations welcomed us with a selection of local baklavas and a Spa set sent to our room , I almost overindulged in sugar lol. The rooms are sparkling clean and immaculately decorated, the bed is very comfortable with crispy sheets and fresh scent of lemons and lavender from the gardens but the most important point is that the staff really made us feel welcome and they couldn’t do enough for us . I was sick during my stay following my teeth treatment , from the front office staff, housekeeping and guest relations, I received so much care and kindness it was unreal . They treated me and my husband like family , they cared so much that the in house nurse was sent to me and also treated me free of charge . If I wanted , they would have also sent me to a nearby hospital free of charge but thankfully there was no need . I also received a hearty bowl of soup and drinks which I really enjoyed . I must say that I recovered fast , but I can’t deny that with all the love and care I received from all Akra Staff , my morale was high . This really was a pleasure to be poorly here . I rated 5 stars here , and if it were possible, I could have added another 11 . Overall ,in my opinion, A great hotel is not Gold taps and chandeliers , but it’s how you feel overall in energy , the great vibes and the respect and kindness is what makes a fantastic experience. We all go on holiday to have a great time , but life has its twists and turns , and when it does turn , you want to be in a place where you feel safe , nurtured and loved . For me this is Akra and it will be for a long time . Much Gratitude for the blessings here in Antalya Akra .
