When researching places to stay my partner and I were a little hesitant about booking this hotel because of some of the reviews. We decided to only book for 2 (two) nights and then consider options after that. We ended up staying 6 (six) nights! From our first experience of being greeted at the entrance, to the check-in staff, everyone was very professional and genuinely friendly. We were both very impressed with the bell boy, Talha, who explained everything very carefully, and the reception staff Murat, who checked us in and greeted us during our entire stay. The view of the pool, the elevator to the private ocean swimming area and the scenery of the mountains are beautiful and calming. The food was delicious with a range of salads, mains and desserts that we thoroughly enjoyed each day and night. The kindness and friendliness of the staff continued to the chefs, wait staff and house keeping. The room was a little small, simple and older, but unless you're planning to stay in your room all day and spend heaps of time in your bathroom, it was fine for us. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the view was amazing from our room, overlooking the mountains and ocean. We would definitely recommend this hotel, we loved it and would return. Great value for money, close to most things and easy to get around by scooters, taxi, and buses.

First impressions are good, however, spend a little time here and you will see things are not as they first appear. Rooms are nice (but no balconies) - if you leave the room the power goes off so you have to ask for a second key to keep the fridge and air con working. If you do this though, the cleaners remove it 🤬. You CANNOT bring anything into the hotel and security scrutinise like you are visiting a prison - you have to buy their water, soft drinks and alcohol which are absolutely extortionate. You cannot bring in snacks but you can’t buy them in the hotel either 🫤. These were all annoying but we could live with it, what we couldn’t tolerate was being ripped off. I am meticulous in keeping track of items signed to the room and when it came to checkout our bill was long - I checked off every item but contested some that were definitely not ours. The man on reception was horrible - rude, condescending and was not looking to resolve the situation. He could not provide me with the signed receipts (it was 7.30am) and said we would have to wait for the finance staff to arrive at 9am, but we had a flight to catch. I said I would pay for those I was not contesting (to be fair this was about 80% of the bill) but needed to see the signed receipts of the others before I paid them as I knew they were not mine. He said if I didn’t settle my tab in full he would call the police (this over a £300 bill - only £50 of which I was contesting). Naturally I had to reluctantly pay the bill but have requested the receipts and surprise surprise - no response. It really left a sour taste in my mouth - they can pretty much charge what they like and there is nothing you can do. Please do yourselves a favour and avoid this hotel/prison where intimidation, theft and downright contempt for the ‘guests’ is like nothing I’ve ever experienced.

My wife and I stayed at Oz for two nights at the end of our honeymoon. We received a call to our room at 22:00 while in bed for the night that we had a balance to settle before checking out in the morning. I’m not sure why this had to happen this late. I immediately went down to settle the bill at their request and when attempting to use any of my credit cards to pay, it prompted me for a pin which none of my cards need or have needed the entire time we’ve been in Turkey which has been a week. I also used the same card at their spa earlier in the day and had to have a manager correct the same issue. When explaining this to the worker at the front desk, he said I could go get cash which I did and ended up costing over 2,000 TL in transaction fees. He also made a comment that “perhaps my balance was too high” on my card which was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I got the cash and came back to settle the bill and we found we had been double charged for one of our room service orders so we had to work with another front desk employee to correct this. This hotel is subpar with rude staff. Spend your money elsewhere.
