We stayed for three nights last week and loved this place. Our room overlooked the garden with a secluded patio, a super comfortable four poster bed and an outside shower (inside shower also if you prefer). Its such a beautiful hotel, so quiet and picturesque, top marks to them for keeping such a large garden looking so amazing! The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was fantastic with Indo and Western choices which were all of an excellent standard. Pool on site which looked fabulous, we didn't use it due to time constraints but I'd bet it would be a great place to spend a few hours! Lovely local area away from the hustle and bustle of 'downtown Ubud' but with enough restaurants and bars within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. They also arrange airport pickups, tours, drivers, yoga, massages etc if required. If you plan to stay in the area, give these guys a try, you won't be disappointed. 5+stars from us.

We just spent four days here with a baby and the only reason why it's not a six star because that isn't an option. First of all, the staff is amazing. Not only did they go out of their ways, they were genuine and effortless in fixing anything, any time we had an idea. They looked after us in a very traditional, hospitality sense. Second, the villas are incredible. We found none of the frequently mentioned broken showers and hard mattresses, had wonderful sleeps, only to be woken up by the sound of nature. We will happily come back next time we are in Ubud.

We stayed here for 4 nights with our 2 children. There is just so much to love about the place including the fabulous gardens, gorgeous rooms, delicious breakfast and quiet location, but the outstanding and number 1 best thing about this place is the beautiful staff - especially Putu, Ayu and Kadek who made us feel like family. We cannot wait to visit again

Alam Shanti is a stunning place to stay and we were very grateful to be able to spend three nights here in April 2023. Located in a quieter part of Ubud, a short walk from the Monkey Forest and not too far from a selection of lovely restaurants and coffee shops, Alam Shanti is a peaceful and personal place to stay. Surrounded by beautiful trees and plants, including the odd cheeky monkey, the site is made up of eight boutique properties, along with restaurants, swimming pool and spa areas. The rooms are spotless, beautifully designed and with comfortable beds with clean, lovely smelling linen. Each morning we had our breakfast delivered to be eaten on our huge private balcony, and in the afternoon we had the offer of tea and cake. The family and staff who run Alam Shanti are genuinely lovely and couldn't do enough to make our stay more comfortable, even running a shuttle bus into Ubud to drop you off or pick you up after a long, hot day seeing the sights. If ever we come back to Ubud, we'd definitely stay here again.
