Rooms are very basic, but overall clean. Some have nice views. The service was so poor. When you’d ask something of staff, they’d say nothing in reply. Literally no words. Cold and awful. The location is convenient, there’s a bridge to songshan station. There was a stain on my mattress, and I put the card on my bed to have them replace the sheets. When I came back, they had made the bed, and had just hidden the stain somewhere else. It was the same sheet, they didn’t change it.

Convenient location, with a skywalk bridge connected to the metro station, 7-10 mins walk to night market. Clean and spacious room with a view of Taipei 101. Reception is located on 17th floor of the building. Breakfast is buffet style with a variety of options. Would stay here again!

My fiancé and I had an amazing stay at the Amba Hotel in Taiwan. From the moment we arrived, the experience was nothing short of wonderful. The complimentary breakfast each morning was delicious and offered a great variety, providing the perfect start to our days. The cleaning staff deserve special mention for their impeccable service and attention to detail, ensuring our room was always spotless and welcoming. One of the highlights of our stay was the excellent selection of wine, adding a touch of luxury to our evenings. The free laundry service was an incredibly convenient amenity that we greatly appreciated. The hotel's location is superb, offering easy access to numerous local attractions, which made exploring the city a breeze. Our room boasted a spectacular view of the city, contributing to an unforgettable experience. Additionally, the ambiance of the hotel was enhanced by the friendliness of the other guests, making our stay even more enjoyable. A thoughtful touch was the provision of umbrellas by the staff on rainy days, ensuring our comfort and convenience at all times. Amba Hotel truly exceeded our expectations and made our trip memorable. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Taiwan for its exceptional service, great amenities, and fantastic location. A well-deserved 5 stars!

The room is large enough and my room faces directly to Songshan Railway Station commercial building, but still can view Taipei 101 on the left hand side from the windows. It is settled up inside a commercial building at the upper level and has a good view at the lobby, breakfast restaurant, and room either face to Taipei 101 or opposite side of the river view. Walk distance is just 10 minutes walk distance away from Songshan MRT so it is OK to take with large luggage.

We stayed at the amba in Songshan for our several night visit to Taipei and really liked it. The hotel can be slightly hard to find the first time, but that's just because it occupies the 17th-21st floors of the building it's in, and the lobby/check in is on the 17th floor. The location is conveniently located very close to the Songshan station on the green line MRT, and during business hours you can even use the skybridge so you don't even have to go to street level to get to the station. There is a lot of food nearby and it is just a few blocks from Raohe night market. The check in was easy, and our medium king river view room was spacious and well laid out. Everything was clean, the bed was comfy, and the view is beautiful. The shower gets hot quickly and has good water pressure. I wish the toilet had a bidet, which is common in Taiwan in my experience, but oh well. My only complaints are that the internet is a bit slow, and there is not much soundproofing through the door so you hear any noise in the hallways. However, since the hotel is so high up in the building, you don't hear much road noise which is good. One major convenience in this hotel is that they have complimentary laundry/drying machines on the 18th floor for you to use. They provide laundry detergent and liquid fabric softener. This is really helpful for longer trips and we really appreciated it. Staff here are really nice and helpful. We didn't ever go to the restaurant in the hotel and didn't buy the hotel breakfast, so can't comment on that.
