I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews on here so I wanted to put in my 2 cents. Pros: 1. It’s cheap and in a good location. 2. Check in was easy and service was good. 3. Amenities are replaced everyday, although I didn’t get a night gown. 4. You can open the window to let fresh air in. 5. Free water and mini fridge. 6. You can adjust the lights from the bed. Cons: 1. It’s not the cleanest room you’ll ever stay in. There are moldy bits and the whole room looks a bit dated. 2. In winter, you can only use the heat of the air conditioner, not the cool option. 3. It’s small but that’s Japan. 4. There was bit of a smell that you quickly get used to. Overall it’s fine for a short stay.

Small room, disgusting stained carpet. Room had a lingering smoke smell even though we asked for a non smoking room. No replacement room was available, the receptionist came over to bring an air purifier which only made it worse. The room was "just old, no smoke" according to him. It was on the top floor and therefore 28 centigrade. The bed was too soft and warm and the pillows hard and had a cavity in the middle, most likely due to being used for a long time. However, the location is very convenient for travelling towards the airport.

A great hotel in a great spot! 30mins away from Sensoji Temple, Tokyo Sky Tree, Shibuya Scramble. Get the 72hr Tokyo Subway Pass with your Keisei Skyliner ticket online to explore many of these places without having to use your IC or buy a ticket until the 4th day. The Hibiya line stops nearby and makes it so easy to return to the airport through Ueno Station and back onto the Keisei Skyliner. Hibiya is also covered under the Tokyo Subway pass and is one stop away from Akihabara! So this hotel is extremely close to Japan's electric Town! 30mins by walking and even less by train! Staff were super friendly! Check in was a breeze and check out was super simple. Daily room keeping. The staff at the desk also helped me send my luggage back to the airport using Yamato Transport. Hands free is how to do it in Japan! Room was clean. Possibly best for couples without a lot of luggage or lone travelers like myself! The room is fairly small in Japanese fashion but I didn't mind, it was cozy. Will definitely use APA again.

So ending off the trip in Tokyo, we expected the rooms to be small (compared to the other cities). Hence, the size of the room did not surprise us. However, compared to the other hotels, this seem to having a lingering smoking odor (even though we are in a non-smoking floor). The shower leaked water everywhere (the curtains cannot decently block water from going out). You cannot use the shower and the sink at the same time (its a weird valve system). The bedding was meh. We wanted to have our luggage delivered to Narita (I have inquired prior to see if its possible for next day delivery and was reassured this is possible). I paid and left my luggage two nights in advance. Unfortunately, the day prior (in the afternoon) I was notified it was not possible. It was already too late in the day to have the luggage delivered (taxi to Narita would have costed upwards of 300 cdn). Hence, slight inconvenience of two carry on and check in via public transit (Wished I was notified earlier to arrange for an alternative luggage delivery). One positive note about this hotel is that it is truly convenient going from hotel to station that will take you directly to Narita or Haneda airport. Our JR pass was expired, hence we took the Tokyo Metro (costed less than 1400 yen from Hotel to Narita terminal 2). In our example, we used the Asakusa line (exit A4 for elevator - this leads directly to platform 2 which goes to Narita. This helped us with getting our luggage into the transit efficiently). Amenity wise, this hotel does offer PJs, toothbrush and tooth paste, hair ties. No cream or lotions that I have noticed. Water and fridge is available. It is affordable I must say. Hence good for a quick and short stay.
