I stayed here from Dec 30 to Jan 3. The rooms were quaint, and the headboard had light controls and chargers. They provide fresh towels, toothpaste, instant coffee, and green tea every day. The bathroom is small, but the tub is nice to soak in. I'm 5'10", so I had to navigate carefully. There is free on-demand movies, including NC17 films. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Despite the language barrier, one of the women at the front desk wrote me directions on how to get to Senso-Ji Temple. The breakfast option was perfect because the breakfast at the poke place on the first floor was delicious. The hotel is nicely located near a rail line, and there is a Daily convenience store around the corner. A couple of blocks is also a 7-11. This hotel is walkable to many areas nearby. I would stay here again!

Small rooms but they're very clean and comfortable. Bed is a bit on a hard side which is normal for Japan. Good location to many nearby Metro stations and shops/restaurants. Only downside is that included breakfast options are somewhat limited and were not up to my taste.

Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and I really like the shower water pressure and temperature adjustment. The train station near the hotel has direct train to Narita airport so it's very convenient.

My previous post was deleted by the owner!! As I am still staying in this hotel, this is how bad I cant tolerate it that I have to post here! Besides the location convenience, the price I paid for with the following adding salt to the wound, definitely not worth the price I paid for! 1. Slow WiFi connection 2. Different types of hair on the bedsheets when I 1st got into the room 3. Cramped and small room 4. Stained carpet and walls 5. Faulty bathroom tap 6. Dusty and dirty table top and bed headrest that worsen my sinus 7. Unapologetic and expressionless duty manager when I showed him video and photos of how dusty and dirty my room 8. Small and cramped bathroom 9. The pillow cases have this sewing right at the neck area when you like on it that makes you very uncomfortable 10. Poor communication from hotel. Requested for a non smoking room, which I was only told that the request was rejects even though prior to my arrival, the hotel had emailed me 3x asking and telling me all other things except the rejection of my request. Looking at how my previous post was deleted says quite a lot of the ethics and integrity of the hotel's management!

Overall a good place to stay in Tokyo on a budget. Close to all good spots in Asakusa and Ueno Pros- 1)Staff is very polite and good in English. They were very generous to give us a room on a higher floor with a view of Tokyo Skytree. 2)Rooms are equipped with all the basic amenities, altough small in size. Service is prompt. Cons- 1)The metro stations exits close to hotel didn’t had any escalator or elevator. So you’ll have to carry all your luggage through stairs, which can be very tiring. Better to book luggage transfer service or look for elevator access at all nearby metro stations. 2) The check out time is bit early- 10 AM, as compared to all other hotels we stayed in Japan- 11 AM. The staff is strict with check in and check out times and could put a fine for delaying check out.
