This is my third time staying in this hotel. The first two were comfortable. Service is good and people are attentive. This time around is a different story, we were provided with a room with faulty bathtub drain ( it was fixed), this happened previously got fixed as well. The drain beside the toilet is rusty, looks very dirty. The grout between tiles are already discoloured. The ?Sealant under the sink is so unappealing. Having checked late, you expect that they will provide you something comfortable but this room is just not the best. The reception said it is their classic room, but id say this is a very old room that they should stop offering until they upgrade it for guests to enjoy. The reception who spoke to me just kept on saying “ uh huh” as a response regardless if you are asking a question which prevents things from deescalating. When asked all she said was “ oh , because Im trying to take note of everything”. Is it hard to respond with context? Honestly posting this so that the room can be upgraded and so others wont feel the same thing about coming here to stay. Too many things have changed since the start of the year, was told that breakfast is no longer included and guests have to specify if they wish to include it or not. Hoping for a better stay next time if we ever come back, location is so convenient but will never compromise comfort. People are generally nice except for the receptionist who is probably tired at 11pm to listen to your complaints. They offered a change room tomorrow, the annoying part is I needed to pack everything again. This is hard most especially when you have a toddler to travel with. Addendum: Vanessa , the guest service manager approached me and rectify the issues raised. Thank you so much and I appreciate the effort.

Most of the ascott hotels have similar room setup and quite spacious. I also like their setup when it comes to the supply of drinking water, they don't use water bottles, instead they use water containers which is a plus. The people greet you with a smile and are very polite which is one of the things that I admire in this hotel chain. The cons during our stay here were the food (breakfast) was too salty, when our rooms were being cleaned it was not vaccuumed, and finally although the location was in the heart of manila, the traffic and the access to the parking is a bit inconvenient.

A conference hotel lacking proper conference facilities. A bit small for the purpose, and breakfast is so crowded at times that you are sent to a conference room (occupied by a conference that is starting shortly) to eat. Rooms are spacious but mine (the floor actually) had a fairly strong smell of mould. Gym is decently equipped and spacious and the pool seemed popular.
