The room didn't look anything like the picture advertised. There was no warm water and the bathroom was dirty and smelly. The check-in was quick and they've helped us out with a boiler. I would advise them to upgrade their standards and clean their bathroom properly before they host any further guests.

I had a booking with this hotel and i got this reply- "Dear Guest, We are not available now. We didn't received an advance payment from you at the point of booking to confirm your arrival. Please book another hotel. Best regards, Ashan's Hotel." Whereas it is clearly stated on the site that no prepayment required and payment to be done after the stay!!!! So what do i make of this!!!! I strongly recommend customers to check before they book with this hotel!! They change their minds very quickly!!! Extremely saddened and angered by such a response...

We booked online for 6 persons and we got one big room with 4 beds with 2 attached bathrooms for a reasonable price like Rs6000/=. Big Flys and cockroaches are everywhere at the apartment. Interior finishing is also not so good as they seem in the photos. No air fresheners. bathrooms where disgusting flys and cockroaches are flying everywhere. Washbasins where leaking. Beds were somewhat comfortable.

Rooms are stinky. Bed sheets, towels and pillows were dirty. Bathrooms was a disaster. Since Colombo in afternoon can be quit hot, especially if you are out shopping. So we will leave the Air condition on if we are going out. But the owner is always switching off the AC when we are out of room. And that is ridiculous. Every time we have to go into a hot stinky room. Please don’t stay here.
