Athens Mosaico Suites and Apartments

DO NOT STAY HERE! We booked this hotel via Expedia because of the good reviews. I'm now certain those were all fake reviews. The hotel itself may be nice but it is dirty and in no way a 4 star hotel! It is located in the worst part of Athens, we had cab drivers refuse to take us to the area. There was a car with broken windows right in front of the main door, homeless and drug addicts everywhere. You can't walk around in that area. The room itself was nice, but as others have said the shower handle would not stay affixed to the wall which made showering a pain. The power went out the first two nights, which also meant no AC or hot water. However, power was on throughout the rest of the neighborhood. As far as cleanliness... upon our arrival we found feminine hygiene wrappers, old socks, soiled towels and foreign papers in our room. Two of our pillows didn't have pillow cases and one comforter was heavily stained with what looked to be dried blood. They never once cleaned our room, despite our countless requests to multiple people, and the request to clean sign on our door! Every time we inquired about it we were told they would get to us... never once did they! At checkout the person behind the desk said he wasn't the right person to complain to.... Breakfast is served via a third party, they don't have room services, in brown takeout boxes and didn't really taste good. For coffee we have a coffee machine in the room but no pods... They wanted to charge us 5 euros for a pack of pods. And for the cherry on top... The pool, which they keep showing in all photos, is a joke, in need of serious repair. The pool lights were dangling on the bottom of the pool, and tiles were missing all over. When we told the front desk about the hazards in the pool area, which by the way only consists of 5 chairs, we were told to not worry as they pop right back on .... PLEASE avoid this place!

Our stay at Athens Mosaico Suites & Apartments was an absolute fiasco. We've never felt the urge to escape a hotel as urgently as we did upon setting foot in this place. When we asked to cancel our booking and get our money back, the reception showed zero flexibility, effectively trapping us in this dump. The photos you'll find online are a masterclass in deceit. Crafted from the most misleading angles, they create a false narrative so far removed from the grim reality that it's practically fraudulent. Walking into the actual rooms was a slap in the face—grimy, under-equipped, and wholly disappointing. Now, let's talk about the so-called 'breakfast.' Forget a hot meal or even a continental spread; all you get are breakfast boxes filled with inedible slop. It's as if they deliberately sourced the worst food imaginable. Imagine eating cardboard—now make that cardboard taste worse, and you'll have a pretty good idea of what to expect. The rooftop pool? Another massive letdown. It's small, filthy, and the limited seating area is so cramped you’d be better off standing. It’s practically a glorified puddle. In summary, this has been one of the worst hotel experiences of our lives. If you value your time, money, and general well-being, avoid Athens Mosaico Suites & Apartments like the plague.
