I wish I could give more stars. We loved the area, and the people were kind as well. This would be more of a 3.5 star hotel. We put in a “bid” for a room with the the view of the acropolis and did get it but when we arrived the room itself was a bit dated (the bathroom wasn’t as dated). The view was nice! I will say that our bathroom smelled quite bad (sewer smell), and we asked to get some air freshener and they sent someone up to clean but the smell was back shortly after. I did mention that the view was nice, but if you are a light sleeper and on the 3rd floor please note some rooms are right across from a school and the kids are very loud in the mornings, even if the windows are shut. That wasn’t much of an issue for us but could be for some who want the acropolis view. Housekeeping kept missing us which was not a huge deal, but if we did ask for fresh towels they would provide quickly. Like I said, the area was great, the hotel at first glance seems great but seems a bid dated outside of the lobby. I might stay here again because of the hospitality & location but I would probably not call it a 4-star hotel.

A wonderful hotel. The location is perfect just below the Acropolis, next to the Acropolis museum and just round the corner from the Acropolis Metro point. Service was really good by very friendly staff. A brilliant buffet breakfast every morning with so much choice of hot and cold food to set you up for the day. The rooftop terrace with bar and cool music was amazing with a view of the lit-up Acropolis and panoramic views of the Athens at night - we went every night to finish off the day in style. We had a standard twin room - it was small but modern, had A/C and everything we needed and was cleaned well every day. The hotel was great, in the perfect location to explore the wonderful city of Athens. We will be visiting again as soon as we can!

I am really pleased with my stay at Herodion Hotel. The staff was stellar - incredibly helpful when I arrived and needed to store my bag, then quick to clean my room so I could check in a little early after all-night travel. They continued to be friendly and helpful throughout my stay. My room was cozy and comfortable, and the location could not have been better. The restaurant and bar in the hotel are lovely and relaxed, as is the restaurant across the street owned by the same owners. The hotel is centrally located, but just around the corner from all of the busyness so that it is nice and peaceful. I was able to walk to my scheduled tours, and the Metro was only four minutes’ walk away. For airport transport, the hotel charges about the same amount as it takes to take a regular cab, which was great because they could arrange everything, but I found it easiest and most affordable to take the Metro from the airport. It’s convenient and safe and only cost €20 for a 3-day full pass anywhere in the city, including returning to the airport. I highly recommend Herodion Hotel. It’s been a very nice stay in a fascinating city.

Such an incredible stay at the Herodion. The location is perfect - it's only steps away from the Acropolis museum and a short walk from most major attractions. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming in all aspects of our stay, in particular they were always willing to offer advice on where to go, how to get there, and arranging things for us. The hotel is also very clean and modern, and the rooms provide the comfort and space that you need for a stay in Athens. Our favorite part was definitely the breakfast though... it might have been the best breakfast we had in all of Greece!
