The best place ever!!! Everything was perfect! The location is amazing, in the heart of Ximen, shops, restaurants, 7-11, supermarket right outside, night market 2 minutes away, the rainbow crossing, all the transport. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. They speak English which makes it easy to ask questions and get directions. The room was big, clean with private bathroom, mattress super comfortable and air condition worked amazing. The common space is spacious with lots of table, fridge , washing machine , microwave, drinking water all available for free. Definitely a clean, affordable place in one of the best locations!

Pros: Staff was polite. Free laundry in the basement. Cons: Room 205 had bed bugs. I woke up with red itchy spots all over my body. When I informed the staff, all was said was "I'm sorry to hear that." No offer to make me whole. Bathroom in room 202 had mold all over ceiling and shower curtain. In both rooms, there were hair strands from the previous occupants on the sheets, duvets, and pillows, so I'm not sure how often these are cleaned.

We stayed here one night. Staff were friendly, the rooms are okay and the common area downstairs is not very comfortable. The beds have curtains, chargers and a light. We would have liked to rent towels as travellers, but we could either buy new towels for 200NTD or buy disposable towels for 10NTD which may as well have been paper towel. It was okay for a short or quick stay but not an overall comfortable hostel for longer.

This hostel is good for single travelers. We stayed here as a couple in the private room. We payed 12.150$ for 8 nights and after checking more hotels in this area, I regretted booking this hostel. For this price you can find much bigger rooms in the same area. The space was my main problem, it’s too small. The towels won’t dry and you always have a muddy smell/ wet sheets in the room. There is no room service but they will clean the bathroom after you ask the front desk. The WiFi in the room is super bad, but in the basement it works quite well. The washing Maschine as well as the dryer are free of charge. The location is pretty nice as well. All in all it was okay, but we were happy to leave our prison cell 😅

Great place. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because there were no towels or toothbrushes, or complimentary tea in the lobby, which our other hostel in Taiwan offered. Rooms were small but we are in a bigger city and real estate is dear. Helpful, friendly staff. Location is safe and central near the Shimending shopping district and many eateries. Would happily make this my next home-away-from-home in Taipei.
