Definitely not 5 stars maybe a good 3 in any other country. Lobby it's good but that's it. Rooms are feel and look old and dated. No attention to detail, dirty coffee machine, just 2 teabags. But the worst is that they ask for 18€ per day for parking that is the normal front street price no discount for hotel guests. Parking on outside of hotel street is free but not easy. During the day you have guys asking for coins to help you park and there are broken window glasses everywhere. Do not recommend staying here while visiting Sevilla.

What a wonderful hotel. From the moment we walked through the doors we felt so welcome and booking was made easy by and painless by David. Free cocktails were a nice surprise and the barman, Alejandro was so helpful, knowledgable and his enthusiasm for the bar & hotel was ice to see. The Santa Maria restaurant was fine and the prices were reasonable. We eat in the restaurant several times both lunch and dinner. The room was excellent and the cleanliness was above reproach. Overall, our stay in Seville was enhanced by staying in Barcelo.

Most amazing experience. Got engaged while staying here. My family contacted to inform the hotel and upon hearing they organised bubbly and desert for ourselves accompanied by a lovely card congratulating us! Thank you specifically to Maria in reception, you were amazing and really made our stay thank you. Also in the Faula bar Alejandro was brilliant! He has exquisite taste and extensive knowledge with a great ability to match your tastes to beautiful paired cocktails and spirits! Highly recommended. The most amazing experience thank you sincerely for making our already memorable engagement all the more memorable. We will definitely be back again! Thank you!

Nice and clean hotel, which however fails on a number of those details that should separate a five star from the rest. Restocking of bathroom and minibar items leaves a lot to be desired. Phone in the room did not work, so I could not call reception when needed. Swimming pool bathroom has no hand soap. Almost no trace of fresh veggies at breakfast buffet. On the whole, ok experience but nothing to write home about.

Nice setting with water feature in the lobby which provided a welcome feeling of coolness after stepping in from the hot weather in Seville. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Large variety of options at breakfast. Staff were helpful with our young daughter and the hotel had some daily activities on offer for kids. Christina at the tourist information desk (City Expert) was very helpful, even prior to our arrival. Taxis were easily accessible to take us in to the city centre which was about 10-15 mins away. Overall a comfortable stay and would recommend.
