this hotel really made our stay in Barcelona unpleasant. very rude and not helpful at all. Make sure to read the Hotel website terms and conditions. we booked over google maps and not all their terms are written there. Moreover, they did not let you us take our big luggage into the room! if you have 2 large suitcases for example, this will be an issue and you will have to pay additionally for storage in the hotel and with cash only (who carries a 2 euro coin in 2023?). This is written nowhere, but still they wouldn't let us put the large luggage in the room, no idea why. and on top: room was dirty and the bed sheets were covered with stains (looked like coffee stains)

What a nightmare. This was an awful experience for the whole family. Susana the hostess was rude, absent minded and terrible at her job. She would not answer any of our questions about the city or rooms telling us to check on Google. She laughed and smiled through an entire 15 minute conversation before acknowledging our existence let alone being useful. She ignored us until she was done and even then had us wait until she clicked around literally ignoring what we were saying. I would like to say this was not racism but she treated other (whiter) guests with alertness and kindness. Later we found her coughing up a storm on the lounge chairs intended for guests, where she refused to make eye contact with us, instead literally waving her hand away and telling us to Google whatever we were asking about, even information about our rooms and the hotel! She was the least professional person we met at any hotel an perfectly complimented the horrendous rooms. Tiny, bland, one of which had no closet and all of which had no sound isolation. We could hear every person in every room at all times. The air conditioning didn’t work and Susana said she would contact someone but literally never did. The receptionist, Louis, who’s shift started a day later found no mention of our complaints or a call for air conditioning repair. Susana was a despicable person, truly. The hotel would not refund our money even though we canceled after the first day and gave us empty apologies and a promise to call and email us. Neither of which every happened. Louis, although kind was powerless to help us, proving just how awful management in this hotel was. Susana was apparently there for over 10 years, I wonder who would employ such a person for this long, but it seems she fits right in with the management. I recommend you stay as far away from this place as possible. They will steal your money and make you wish you never landed in Barcelona. I am still waiting for a refund for the days that were canceled but I’m sure I won’t even get an email as it’s already been almost two weeks since we stayed there for that one nightmarish night.
