Very clean hotel, very comfortable beds. The room was spacious and pleasant. The breakfast choice was not huge but sufficient with very good coffee (in the jugs and from the espresso machine), many hotels should learn how to make coffee like that. There were nice touches like drinking water with lemons and oranges at the entrance, or Miele washing machine and tumble dryer available for free (except the detergent obvoiusly). And if you consider the cost, it is really great value. The location is great - 15 minutes on foot to the historical centre. I left the power supply for my macbook in the room. The hotel found it and arranged by DHL to be sent to me. All the way the service was friendly and polite. If I go to Bamberg, I will certainly use this hotel again.

I am a very picky traveler, who has flown millions of miles according to my frequent flyer statement, and stayed in many hotels over some 30 years of heavy traveling. While this is certainly not the nicest hotel I have stayed in, it is extraordinarily good value. I booked a suite, which was very pleasant and which worked very well for my family as the pull-out couch was a good bed. The staff was excellent about giving us extra towels, allowing dishes in the room, bringing up drinks etc. The hotel is located walking distance from the historic center of Bamberg with underground parking so you can park your car and forget about it. Booking far in advance and pre-paying made the price excellent too. I heartily recommend this hotel.
