Best Western Plus Tower Hotel Bologna

TLDR: good option for business travels, otherwise not so much. Pros: - Decent location. Good supermarket nearby, convenience store, bus stop and a train station stop. - Friendly staff. - Possibly very good if staying here for business reasons. - Standard rooms have a bathtub. Cons: - A bit overpriced, given that you have to ride a bus for about 20 minutes from the city centre to get there and walk another 5-7. - Having stayed there for 4 days, we have had to wait 2.5 days to get our leaky toilet fixed and another day to get the safe fixed (it was missing one single AA battery to work and we had to wait 3 days only for the safe itself to be switched to a different one). We have had to highlight these problems to the staff at the reception every time we left our room for the day, until they were FINALLY resolved on the day we had to leave. - Rooms look decent from photos, but after looking closely you can notice some scratches here and there, some stains on the carpet floor, some damages in the bathroom and bathtub, and the furniture has some noticeable damages as well. Rooms basically need a simple renovation to be good and match the photos exactly. - For some reason, the window in our room was not fully closed and we had to try to jam it shut ourselves (highlighted this to staff to no avail). - Air-conditioning could be more powerful. - The mini-fridge is barely cooling anything.

Very good service! Awesome breakfast and happy staff. Only thing i want to be fixed is the dirty outside of the building. There is a lot of dirt on all of the windows and the outside part of the building. Furthermore, the logo on the outside is almost falling down. On the other side, inside of the hotel is super cozy and pretty, not much to pick on here. I got good sleep which means that the beds were good! I would come again👍
