Had an overall great experience at this hotel. The rooms are indeed super tiny, lack proper sound insulation and ventilation, and the mattresses are uncomfortable. But coming to the room just to sleep after spending a whole day out in Brussels it was okay. On the other hand, the personnel was very friendly, polite, and helpful, and the location of the hotel is extremely convenient - within walking distance from Brussels central station and also next to public transport stops.

Single rooms are extremely small, as are the bathrooms. Taking shower was a lesson of patience, since water temperature was oscillating from cold to hot. The showerhead was so low that only people less than 1.5 meters tall could use it comfortably. Very basic (fortunately tasty) breakfast.

Old and unclean room. How we end us at this hotel? Hotel The Neufchatel called me to advise our room is unavailable only 3 days prior our check-in date in the end of JULY 2023, for a reservation made in end of APRIL 2023. We were very cooperative to accept being transferred to this hotel, Hôtel Beverly Hills (Rue du Prince Royal 71, 1050 Bruxelles, Belgique). We then had an issue at this hotel, where our room door lock was broken, but our wish of being switched to another room was denied as we were told every guest was assigned to a specific room in the hotel and it can’t be changed. What an odd excuse! However, the receptionist can transfer us to another building around the corner… Will avoid this hotel in the future.
