DO NOT BOOK A ROOM THERE!!! We had a reservation, but going to the place we saw that the pictures on booking did not correspond to reality. The hotel is miserable. I wanted to cancel the reservation because of the poor conditions, mold in the rooms and the dirt but we were told we would be charged one night.

Location and decent breakfasts are the only good things about this hotel. First night we got in room with toilet under shower, with view to some strange room (storage?). Second day room was changed, but the bathroom was a disaster here as well. Walls looked like never cleaned and ventilation was coming INTO our bathroom so everytime you got in you have to smell other rooms toilets. No elevator. Very loud school nearby. Totally would not recommend.

Cheat people and owner is cheat too. They will show you nice room online and take money then let you have a junk room where Windows are broken and hide under screen, room heater never work, bath room clogged constantly. Breakfast is poor. Rooms are tinny no space at all. The owner trying to cheat guest and earn money by unethical practice - i hate it!! Never book any roon on this Building !! Keep in mind Turkish people are dishonest from airport arrival to departure.

The staff on duty were friendly when we asked for help, the apartment is only a 25 min walk from the major tourist attractions like the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. There are many restaurants in the neighbourhood, including some cool rooftop ones with amazing panoramic views. It was also convenient to have breakfast at the hotel every morning, it is a Turkish breakfast with boiled eggs, feta, tomato etc. The room we had was large with an on-suite (which was a bit grimy when we arrived I must say). x The AC didn't work for two of the nights we were there, there was no water one night and the wifi was patchy. The flat wasn't very clean when we arrived, although it was cleaned every day we were there so became progressively more clean as time went by. The neighbourhood seemed quite conservative and I felt fairly uncomfortable even in knee-length and shoulder-covering clothing. If you do not have this type of clothing it would probably be more comfortable to stay in a different area with more tourists.
