Nice hotel with a helpful staff. Centrally located 5 minutes from the fortuna town and 5 minutes from the waterfall.

I did not have a great experience here. The sheets and pillow cases smelled bad, they were not washed or clean. There was way too much noise from dogs and staff living around the place of banging utensils, etc. The windows are not sound proof at all. First day I was bitten by a mosquito, which is a very common way for a person to die. The rooms were dated, and they gave me the last room in the row of rooms. Breakfast was ok.

Our favorite place & fairly priced during our 8-day trip around CR! The grounds were lush, gorgeous, perfectly maintained; the rooms were warmly welcoming, super clean, and had character; the staff were SO friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Breakfast was wonderful on the terrace. You could tell they cared and took pride in their place. :)) I enjoyed hearing the rain storms & frogs thru the permeable windows, but some would need earplugs. Thank you, Catarata Eco-Lodge for a lovely retreat!
