Cozy place for quick vacation in Chiang Mai. Halal restaurant (Yaring Restaurant) serves tasty breakfast & local cuisines. My favorite restaurant every time I come to Chiang Mai. Good location to walk around! Value for money for room & complimentary breakfast.

[April 2023] We got the studio unit at the back. It is very minimalist and clean. Unfortunately the air cond is not cold and we didn't sleep well. The cold air is unable to reach the upper part of the studio since it is also blocked by the bamboo casing chandelier. And that unit is quite noisy until late night as the back is a snooker drinking bar. The open dining area for breakfast session has no fan too. And fully infested with mosquitoes. As the indoor dining area is covered with cat pee smell, so we have no choice but to sit outdoor. Bring your mosquito repellent and mint oil. Breakfast selection is very appealing and nicely plated. Building is some old style village decor and very colourful. And give you a home vibe. There is no sound proof and you can hear clearly all the noises and next door chatters. Not the best. But definable worth the penny. Staffs are very friendly and boss is easy to communicate + helpful.

Stayed here on 24-26 April 2023. The hotel theme really meets our expectation. It looks really like a little village with small alley interconnecting the front office until the room behind the building. Yes it's an old hotel but just do the good job. Room was big, we got our balcony facing front of the hotel. Breakfast was good (pancake), we even got to borrow a bike to stroll around the city. Overall, very pleasant stay and good value for money!

For a small, cheap guesthouse, this is a pretty nice place. I enjoyed being close to but not in the old city. I stayed in 2 rooms. The downstairs room (superior house room with terrace) I’d say 3.5 stars. There were a lot of mosquitoes and it was small and smelled A little like cigarettes. The upstairs superior balcony temple view room was much better. Much bigger, just more comfortable and balcony was nice. The staff is nice, although the first day I was there I had a hard time finding anyone. But once I did they were nice, helpful, flexible, and friendly. Breakfast was adequate in quality but enormous in quantity. If I could change something easy, I’d serve real coffee and also have some kind of fresh chili. A real plus for me (and why I rebooked and stayed longer) was that it was some of the best internet I’ve had so far in 3 weeks in Thailand.
