Clevelander Hotel – Adults Only

I loved this place, the staff there were amazing. They went above and beyond to get you what you needed. The back part of the place has a big party patio. That’s really cool. I would definitely stay here again. It’s a great location to a lot of cool places are in walking distance. The beds were very comfortable too. I called front desk because I thought the AC wasn’t working, but realized I just needed to find the box to turn it down, but they instantly offered to give us another room. Great customer service.

If I could give no stars, I would. Unfortunately we had a really tough time with our group at the Clevelander. We had 4 rooms celebrating a birthday party (my birthday), and had unexpected (and still questionable) fees tacked on to our rooms upon arrival. The front desk had to swipe my card so many times that it actually locked it and I had to call the bank just to sort it out. Then, our room was flooded upon the first day since the shower had no curtain or door, just a sign that said not to move the shower head (which we didn't), and even after calling the front desk for help NO ONE came until we called again the next day. We were walking around in water puddles, some pooling in the corners half an inch deep. Even then, once they finally answered the following day, they just changed our rooms so we were no longer on the same floor with the rest of our party, and the room was way smaller. The original had a couch and seating area while the second one barely had room for the bed. On top of that, you all charge resort fees yet when using the amenities we fell very very short. Every single night there were no towels to be found and housekeeping was nonexistent. I was actually scolded and yelled at by a housekeeper because she was mad we asked for her to come up to the room. I was told she was "too busy" and had way too much work, but we really just needed towels and our floors cleaned because they were sandy upon arrival. Again, very gross and unsanitary and stressful. On my birthday. On our second night, the AC even went out in all of our rooms and we were told it was the entire wing of the building. That alone should result in some sort of compensation as half of us ended up sleeping on the cold sandy floor just to try and cool off. Again, things happen but this is unacceptable to gaslight us and say nothing is wrong when the AC is clearly down and everyone is complaining. There was a point in the evening where no one would even answer the front desk! While the idea and atmosphere of the Clevelander is very fun, this was definitely the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I'd really like to see some sort of refund made since this place is not cheap, and I feel like i've been tricked out of money with fees and bad service. It's so unfortunate that I spent my Golden birthday in the chaos and constant stress of the cleanliness, hidden fees, and unanswered calls. Please, please, make amends as we spent a LOT of money across 4 rooms over our stay. **** Updated on 12/18/23 NO ONE HAS REACHED OUT. Do not stay here!!!
