I’m currently on my weeks stay here at the Colony Hotel, We are absolutely loving our time here , the staff are so lovely and are so attentive, the rooms are great and very clean , there cleaned daily and the beds are extremely comfy, The food here is also great. Had a problem with the air conditioning and when i told them it was fixed within 5 minutes, i could not fault this hotel, the only thing i would say is it’s a bit further from the centre of Rome but there’s plenty of ways to get there and it means you can enjoy the calm vibes the hotel has to offer, i would highly recommend this hotel and i can’t thank the staff enough for the lovely time we’re having here. would definitely come back !

I get the lower ratings. This place is definitely an acquired taste. There's a weathered aesthetic to Colony Hotel which was debatably intentional, based on the fact all its facilities worked perfectly fine, and our room was very clean on a rival. Its quirky charm isn't going to be for everyone, but it worked for me. It actually felt like I was staying in a hotel run by my grandmother. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We didn't eat here, however, I will say, for what you're paying, it's worth it just for the comfy bed, old-fashioned amenities, and cleanliness.

Stayed here recently but extremely disappointed, the hotel is very outdated and our room was nothing special. When we arrived we had already paid for the room and online it didn’t state anywhere about the extra “room tax” we would have to pay on arrival… we was unpleasantly surprised at check in with an extra 24€ tax payment which for the total price we had to pay, I would strongly just recommend finding a nicer hotel somewhere closer to central Rome perhaps. There was only one plug socket, tiny tv which didn’t work, payed for a double bed but revived two single beds placed together, table in the room old and could easily break if your not careful. The bathroom was the worst part, sink way too big, situated directly in the entry way so left only a small gap to enter the bathroom, the shower was very old and small, the glass had a relitvily big hole in it and the shower head was awful, it did not work correctly and the water came out in strong random streams therefore you couldn’t have a shower without your hair getting wet, but at least they gave us shower hats, couldn’t leave the hotel without having to give them the key back each time but that I can kind of understand and at least the room was cleaned everyday and none of our stuff had been moved!

Having 3 stars mean it is 3 starts. It worths 2 stars maybe because of building. The rooms are old, no coffee, hot water, etc.. We booked double bed and single bed room where we saw on during the booking at hotels.com. However when we go to hotel we have been told that they don't have such a room. When I ask them why the advertising like that, they said it is not our problem. And they request €25 more for my son per night. They were very rude and not flexible in any case. Only the answer "no", "it is not our problem" , "we don't have it". It was the worst part of my holiday. I even did not spend the last day and night in the hotel, I wanted to at least one night in good atmosphere before we leave the country. I only can say positively they clean the rooms daily but the rooms are so old, it doesn't work much as well.

Hotel management was horrible!!!!!! It was like taking more money from tourists. Bathroom was old and looks not clean. Old mind management!!! No hospitality no welcome to tourists just how to take more money from the tourists. Awful awful very poor breakfast, expensive and very rude receptionists. They do not care children too. Children are the first in the world but receptionists were not care are you waiting too long are you children are tired or sleepy in the middle of the night. Waiting too long to get the room and they were counting how much more money can take from tourists and they were trying to find the reason to get more money from us before get the room. Wherever you paid no matter when you get the hotel you will pay more they will find the reason to get more money from you. Find another hotel even if pay €10 more stay away from trouble and do not ruin your vacation!!!! I did not want to stay last my two days even if I paid and left the hotel because I already ruin my vacation, and moved into another place to get some peace!!! Please please please do not stay this hotel because of looks cheap but cheap they will put extra cost to get more money from you!!!!!
