The free breakfast was really good with fair selections. The stay was nice with just enough space for us. However, the reason it’s not five stars for me as a cheap accommodation is due to the fire alarm fault that happened in the middle of the night. We were rushed out in pyjamas. The fire escape stairs were narrow so one slow person caused a whole traffic jam - can’t imagine what kind of disaster would happen in a real fire. The constant announcement that had a huge time gap in between interrupted our sleep. The bedsheets are a little itchy and it’s quite expensive for the amount of space we got. One of my friends noticed red stains on the curtain. Otherwise it was a fair stay and the reception was helpful.

The location was really good right next to a JR line and pretty good access to Tokyo station and a seven eleven was right next to it as well. We also stayed in another conform hotel in Kyoto and in comparison this one comes second, the room was smaller but that's fine and the breakfast wasn't that nice always compared to the other hotel in Kyoto (it's the same company that's why I'm doing this comparison) the staff was amazing in both hotels super helpful and willing to give us recommendations. We had a day trip from Tokyo to Niigata and the lady at the reception recommended that we also stop in Nagaoka which was a really good choice after all we enjoyed the area very much!!

Excellent location, near 2 JR stations and lots of restaurant options. Friendly staffs that can speak english fluently. Good variety breakfast.
