Concorde

My recent stay at this hotel in Rome, Italy was a mix of positive and negative experiences. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a staff member who facilitated an early check-in for us at 8 in the morning, which was greatly appreciated. However, things took a turn for the worse later in the day. Initially, the check-in process went smoothly we paid for taxes and passport was given, and we were informed that our room would be ready in 45 minutes. As we had plans to explore the city immediately, we requested to leave our luggage and change clothes before heading out. The staff kindly accommodated our request, and we went on our way. Upon returning to the hotel, we encountered a different staff member who seemed to have difficulty locating our reservation. This led to confusion and a request for us to pay the tax again, despite having already done so earlier. It appeared that the information regarding our early check-in and tax payment had not been properly communicated to the staff member, causing unnecessary inconvenience. Furthermore, the experience took a distressing turn when, after finally gaining access to our room, another guest was inadvertently given access to our room with a duplicate key, catching us off guard and causing considerable discomfort. This breach of privacy left us feeling unsettled and exposed, affecting our overall impression of the hotel. The situation was further compounded when we approached the another guy on reception in the next morning to address the security lapse. The staff member on duty responded unprofessionally, raising his voice and displaying a lack of understanding towards our concerns. It was disheartening to be met with such a dismissive and confrontational attitude when attempting to communicate a legitimate issue. I even told him he dont need to shout on us because we are calm. We even supposedly to be angry on that moment,not him. Since we decided to leave early and not to waste our time we take our breakfast and He the guy in reception went to us and he said sorry. However, the initial lapse in security and the subsequent poor handling of our complaint overshadowed this attempt at reconciliation. In conclusion, while the hotel's initial efforts to accommodate our early arrival were commendable, the subsequent mishaps and the unprofessional response from the other staff member marred our overall experience. I hope that the management will address these issues to ensure a better and more consistent standard of service for future guests.
