During the check-in there was a minor issue with the reservation. Instead of resolving it, the girl at front desk escalated it to a major thing, and instead of asking for help she made it like it was all my fault and she was doing me a big favor. This person should never work with customers in a hospitality industry. During my entire stay the automatic entry door was not working. The handmade paper sign said that the door is not working, open it manually. The door did not have any handles and it was not safe to handle it manually. The valets did not do any efforts to help people. The hotel did not assign any staff to handle the door. The valets even kept saying: "Close the door, we are cold"! That was absolutely not acceptable. Then, in my check-out receipt I was charged $14 + tax for (2) bottles of water I never used. They put the bottles in the room and did not check whether they were used. I called the hotel and got my money back. How many customers did not check the bill and had their money simply stolen? On a positive note... The room was clean and quiet. AC, heating, and plumbing was working properly. Food service was fine.

Convenient hotel in a great location. The rooms are clean, modern and in great condition, but otherwise nothing special. Fitness center good but not ideal - shared with the residential building and overall quite full, restricted hours- at many hotels it is private and available all hours. Location is great to nearby food and restaurants.

The service here is great! When we checked in, the concierge noticed it was my birthday and gave us a room upgrade and also allowed us to check into our room early, which we greatly appreciated! I wish I knew her name she was super sweet. If we came back to Chicago, we would likely stay here again. The location was great for what we were looking to do while in Chicago!

I'm a big fan of Courtyard Marriotts, usually a nice clean room, and the Bistro makes a good coffee and breakfast. Unfortunately this one has no hot breakfast, just muffins and donuts and yogurts (not free) and Starbucks drip coffee only. No bar either. The blackout shades were awesome, but the thermostat seemed a bit schizophrenic and the bathroom vent fan never shut off and was loud enough to keep the door closed. The pull out full bed was very firm (which I like) bit others my not. It's a great location, and the price is decent. But the amenities that usually come with the brand were lacking. I'd stay here again, but I'd check around elsewhere first.
