This hotel is in a great location. The staff was friendly. Check in and check out were easy and a breeze. It was very quiet and I stayed during the weekend. Also, the breakfast had good choices and was fulfilling. The downfalls were that the place needs some better cleaning and better upkeep. The room was decent but the glass on the electric stove was cracked, the underneath of the couch had so much debris under it (as of they never moved it to clean or just swept everything under there), and they supplied no hand soap, and very minimal amount of towels. Also the elevator walls were coming apart and had food and utensils spilled in them. Overall it's a good hotel, has a nice location, but needs to be better taken care of

The service was pretty good. We liked the size of the room, but it had some problems. The vanity water was only hot and the room temperature wouldn't go down to a comfortable level. For breakfast, you get the same thing everyday except for a different meat every three days (turkey sausage, sausage links, and bacon). Then there are eggs, fried potatoes, bagels, yogurt, and granola. We asked for a late checkout the night before we left and were told it wasn't possible, but to check again in three morning. The next morning we checked and were told the didn't have any more late check outs available. Supposedly we had "VIP Access" from our booking, but there was nothing special in reality. It's a pet friendly hotel and the hallways reflect that. The smell can be pretty bad, although our room was fine. The exercise room is good. The location by the lake, Hancock Tower, and Mag Mile is hard to beat. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby.

The internet in the hotel is not working. Lights were turned off on Christmas night. No room cleaning after five days. The cleaning lady refused to clean the room, I had to go myself to change towels and ask for toilet paper. The heater blows cold air. The elevator periodically takes away not on his floor. The hotel could be not bad if the staff worked better. Sometimes there is no one to be found at the front desk.

Excellent location, only about 10 min walk from Northwestern Hospital to the south and downtown area to the west. Close to the water/lake as well. Room was clean, staff were friendly. Hot free breakfast and quite healthy too (pictured). It was a comfortable stay. Few down side was that there were limited power outlets in the room because the ones near the bed with the lamp did not work, and my bath tub faucet had come loose so I had to call the engineering and not sure whether it was fixed completely because when I asked the front desk they weren't sure (but I was able to shower fine so it wasn't a major issue). So this is why I didn't give 5/5 for room and service. The kitchen has all appliances like stove, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, and cupboards also had frying pans, basic metal cutlery, sieves, plates/dishes, etc. The bathroom was big and plenty of room. I saw many young families around enjoying their time there, as well as young people coming in for meetings. Overall it was a great stay.

This is the most disgusting hotel we have stayed in. Nothing like the photos on the web. The fridge fan is so loud I hope we can sleep. The room is very hot and the instructions say to open a window (no screen) to cool it off as the "baseboard heat can not be turned off." Very dated and hope no bedbugs. The nice surprise was there is no self park so had to pay $70 for one day vallet. The actually helpful person at the desk suggested a website to find public parking.
