Courtyard by Marriott Denver Central Park

There is something very wrong about this place. I stay in hotels 10/12 months in a year. Suffice to say, I've seen my fair share. This is, without question, the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Let's break it down: 1. If you have a fire stick or roku, you can't plug it into the tv directly unless, I suspect, you have a universal remote. The input button on the remote doesn't control the tv source, it controls the box source. So you are required to plug it in directly into their TV box. This wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if it didn't destroy the picture.. It's dark and pixelated 2. There is no complimentary anything. Except ice. If you want coffee or breakfast, you're pulling your wallet out. 3. As with what I see in about half of the hotels I stay at, there is a dismal amount of light in the room EVEN IF you turn on every single light. My room was facing the west, so pure sun into my eyes if I have the curtains open. 4. There is no microwave in the room. The staff said, "oh, we can microwave it for you!" I appreciate the gesture but I can very well cook my own meals and clean up after myself, thank you. Ended up having to buy a hot plate. Sorta wanted one anyway. 5. This hotel is in close proximity to a warehouse that has a loud, long, droning, beeping sound. You will have a headache. 6. The elevator I used must've had a terrible sensor or something because every time I took the elevator, the door would start to close then immediately open. The close door button makes this worse. Most times, this happened 3 times in a row before I could get downstairs. 7. Paid $13 for French toast. Lady said it was "four slices". When the food came out, I saw it wasn't four slices. It was four HALF slices... For $13. They weren't large slices either. I hope I still have the Pic for this. 8. The shower is actually not bad. Good heat. Good pressure. Full standing shower. 9. One of the funniest parts is that the refrigerator must be clicked every 8 hours in order to keep the food cold. Set a reminder. Really. 10. I would like to say the staff redeemed the pure unadulterated greed from the company but they couldn't possible make that big of an impact. Big big shout out to Adolfo (hope I'm spelling that correctly). He works maintance. The genius hotel owner thinks one washing machine is fine with 2 dryers. Well, the washer went down and there was no way for me to wash my clothes here. Adolfo kindly offered to let me wash the clothes in the hotel laundry. Thank you, Adolfo. This hotel oozes greed. It basks in your blind allegiance. It will take advantage of you in every single opportunity. Please, for yourself, for your family, don't come here. Thanks

It is tucked away, not the most convenient location to get to, but I like this place because of the great service. I am Bonvoy Titanium, so obviously, I spend a bunch of nights on the road. Tony at the check-in desk is great and understands customer service. Same for the bartenders at night. The hotel is spending some money on remodeling, which I appreciate. The only bad thing is not enough help in the morning. It can take forever to get a cup of coffee or breakfast sandwhich, and the exercise room could use some love. It is small, missing free weights and has few options.
