These rooms and the hotel in general needs a renovation. It seems a little run down and outdated. The elevators are extremely slow and the rates are extremely high for what you get. However when staying in the upper east side you have very few options. We stayed here because it was 2 blocks from our sons apartment. It does offer walkability to some restaurants and bars. Service from the lobby staff was good. They were nice and helped me fairly quickly with questions.

Pros: the staff is pleasant and more than willing to help you with directions or recommendations. Cons: The rooms are on the smaller side and bathrooms give you feeling of staying in a cheaper motel. There is no onsite parking and you are only informed of the valet service once you have checked in which is less than helpful as you more than likely would have parked at one of the two garages next to the hotel.

Checkin in was quick and front desk was pleasant, room was pretty small and the bed was definitely not a king size bed. But the room was pretty clean except two lemon seeds left on bathroom counter top. The housekeeper was amazing! She serviced our room and did a wonderful job. And was very friendly and a sweet lady I unfortunately didn’t not get her name (short Hispanic lady ) anywho check out was okay front desk wasn’t too friendly. But other than that great stay good location next to the aspca I think it is so we saw tons of pups being walked every day .

We pre-paid the stay for almost 2 weeks on September for our Christmas and new year trip. This hotel just turns out terrible. The worst 3-star hotel I've ever stayed. There's only two staff that's friendly and nice to the customers. We talk to the manager about the noise from the street and the broken lamp shade. He was saying that the higher floor will hear the same level of noise than at 5th floor, and the attitude just made us feel like we are the one that's making the problem to them. As for the lamp, he only asked us if we need a extra lamp in the room and not even feel sorry about not having a well maintained room. These problems and there's only one outlet on each lamp that will work are all seems to be normal for them cause the manager had never apologize for anything.

I stayed here about a year ago when my husband had to spend a week in a hospital. My room was clean, comfortable and quiet, and the hotel is in a nice neighborhood. The bus stop that I needed was a short walk from the hotel. It was also very easy to order a cab. My only wish was that it had a restaurant. But there are a few places to get food in the area. Most importantly, I felt safe staying here.
