Crest Resort & Pool Villas

I'll start by saying that I travel a lot and stayed in plenty of 5 star hotels. This is by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I've honestly stayed at better Holiday Inns. My room had a squeaking noise that kept me up all night (see video). At 5 am I called guest services asking for a new room which they said wasn't available and they'd call me back at 8:30 am when the general manager arrived. At 8:30, nobody called so I called again but they said the general manager was in a meeting and that he'd call back in 30 minutes. I think it would have been appropriate for the general manager to have contacted me as soon as he arrived at work. Also, I think there should be a manager on duty at all times that can make decisions if they are labeling themselves as a "5-star" hotel. I waited another hour but they never called so I called again. Then they said he's still in a meeting and would call back in another 30 minutes. They never called. So I called again. This time they said I have to wait another hour until their meeting is over. Only when I went to the lobby and demanded to see the manager did he show up. What the heck? Stay far away from this hotel. The room and complex is old and run down with dirty windows. The bathroom had no door with glass walled toilet which offers no privacy. The room is advertised as a sea view room which it wasn't (see photo). There is a hill and an ugly building blocking the sea view. I think it is bait and switch to advertise this as a "sea view" room. I don't know about Thailand but bait and switch is illegal where I come from. My stay included breakfast but when I went to the restaurant there was nobody to greet me without any posted instructions. I waited for a while and just decided to seat myself and eat. At this point I'm still waiting for the manager. I will request a full refund and move to another hotel. Even a 2 star hotel would be a better experience than this. The hotel is way overpriced for what your get. Given the experience, lack of service, and false advertisement, I cannot give this hotel any more than 1-star. Update: The manager said they would provide a refund for the remaining days and a 50% discount for the night stayed within 2 weeks. IT HAS NOW BEEN 3.5 WEEKS AND I HAVE YET TO RECIVE THE REFUND. Now I have to pay my credit card company for the amount which is outrageous. I tried contacting the manager but I am not getting a response. TO THE OWNER: You should have your employees contact the customer back for issues like this. Silence doesn't help when you are holding my hard earned money. You say my feedback is important to you; prove it.

Had an amazing experience staying at Crest! The room infrastructure, amenities and services provided are simply awesome. Especially being a pure vegetarian, finding food for breakfast was difficult but Chef Pete made it easy for us and prepared tasty food that too eggless!
