We got so lucky and got the last room available on New Year's Eve, a last-minute cancellation. Cannot recommend this hotel enough for any night but especially New Year's Eve! A hotel packed with our kinda people, dog lovers, dogs everywhere, a special place for people who love charming inns and dogs. Our boy Gerbert had the best time! Overfloweth with warmth, delicious breakfast included (eggs popovers oatmeal fruit sausage coffee), and four hours of music on New Year's Eve from a cabaret singer right in the living room. Celebrated at midnight and it was such a happy party. Everyone dancing and singing. So fun, hilarious, classy, unlike any place you've been. Even had a fireplace in our room. Can't rave about it enough. And then you get to wake up by the ocean! Thank you for such a special New Year's! 5 stars!!!!

They have a very friendly service! The balcony view was 8 mile of the Pacific's golden coast I saw dolphins in the morning then later that evening relaxed with inclusive free wine and hot snacks in the dining room or take back to your own private bedroom balcony! Beautiful ❤️

We enjoyed a seaside view room (one of the more expensive rooms) with a wonderful tub, cozy fireplace, and comfortable bed. The quiet ocean view and the pleasant ambience of crashing waves cannot be emphasized enough (it’s the real deal on this front)! We kept our porch door open the entire time to enjoy the crashing waves. This is a small place with local staff that are genuine and care. A modest inn in a rural town. Everyone’s mostly a friendly neighbor and I suspect anyone complaining in reviews were probably unnecessarily rude and demanding (reconsider your approach if you’re having a bad experience in a small town). The nice touches are present and our room is modernized. It is noteworthy for the big and tall that the stand up shower is tall enough to accommodate 6’5” reasonably but it is a VERY small box size (about 34” x 34”). I understand why this happened during the remodel (the door can only be mounted 1” in off the tile or it’ll crack the tile/ruin the shower), but it was an oversight and a rough one considering how much was clearly spent on upgrades. Next time you go through renovations, force an extra 12” on the mirror side and leave it at 34” on the toilet side. That’ll split the difference on the tight squeeze and still make it feel decent! We’ll be back next year!

Boyfriend and I came down to Half Moon Bay after work on a Friday night from the Bay Area for a weekend getaway trip. (~1.5hr drive with light traffic) We loved having a jet tub in the room with gorgeous ocean views, and that breakfast was served in-room each morning too. It was super romantic and the perfect way to spend a weekend out of town! The staff were all friendly and helpful; the room we stayed in was super comfortable. Will definitely be back again!

This is an Amazing Ocean Front Hotel. The hotel location is fantastic, just right by the ocean. The staff is super helpful and really focused on customer service. They offered happy hour at 5 pm, and breakfast, both are included in the price of your reservation. It's just perfect to relax and go away from the rush of the city. You will not regret staying in this property if you are looking to relax and connect with the ocean. We visited more than ten times and will come again. Thank you!
