We came for the memorial of my late cousin. The property is well maintained and parking was conveniently close to our door. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the vanity was also spacious. Check-in was efficient and the front desk clerk was friendly and welcoming. This area is so beautiful! I wish we could've stayed longer.

The first thing I notice when entering a hotel room is the COLOR OF THE CARPET. If I see a very dark or black carpet, I know that the strategy is to cover up all the stains (which cannot be seen readily if the carpet is already dark in color). Just seeing a very dark carpet makes it difficult for me to feel comfortable in the room. I am thinking "Is there dog urine or vomit or who knows what that I am walking on....?" On the other hand, if I see a very light-colored carpet, I can see that there is nothing gross being concealed. The sounds coming from upstairs were a bit of a problem. People walking, etc. was very noticeable. My only other quibble is that the included breakfast was a bit lacking. For example, there was no one there to fill up the coffee dispenser when it ran out, and the bagel supply was already exhausted upon our entry. Otherwise, the room was entirely adequate, albeit modest. There was no other issue with cleanliness.

Very good place!!! Everybody is very polite and respectful. The breakfast was the best with amazing waffles. The beds were comfy, and the shower/bath was also good. Overall, 10/10 ⭐ score.

We have been staying at this motel for years Had some problems but none that were life changing. Last stay our room was not ready at the stated time. We had to wait in the lobby for half an hour after traveling more than three hours. They just threw our room together, bed was terrible. Wi Fi is terrible and there is no cell phone service unless you walk out to highway 1. Our latest experience I called for reservations for two nights, explained to the young lady that I was a disabled veteran and needed a downstairs room not an ADA room. She told me she could not guarantee a downstairs room. I have never been told that in all the years we have been staying there. We are down there often as we have relatives in Half Moon Bay. The other gripe is the breakfast. After Covid hit and was over they went back to nothing juice, breakfast burrito you took back to your room to microwave. Well long story short we booked two nights at the "HALF MOON BAY LODGE" at the other end of town. Clean room, great breakfast and free late checkout. Wi Fi and cell phone service is great and they have a pool and workout room. Joe's restaurant is right there in front of the lodge, great food. Guess where we will be staying from now on!
