This lovely little hotel is is the perfect location to easily walk to the major attractions. In addition it has many restaurants and shopping along the way. It's real charm lies in the quaint rooms and the lovely hotel staff which put up with my constant requests patiently. The breakfast is a combination of cold meats and cheeses along with freshly baked home goods, eggs, blintzs and the like served on the top floor of the hotel in what I can only describe as a glass tree house. If you're lucky you'll get the coconut biscuits. If you're a bird lover the parrots come by around 4-5. Truly a wonderful stay. I need to add it doesn't have an elevator so for elderly people like my father with ambulatory issues the stairs could be difficult. Hint: If you've bothered to read this far down in my review ask for the room on the first floor. It's perfect for a single or couple and has its own private courtyard!

Pros: 1. Very, very good hosts 2. Free breakfast which is pretty decent 3. 5 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and couple more minutes to Hagia Sophia. 10 minutes to the Grand Bazaar. Amazing location 4. Terrace view is beautiful 5. Clean and comfortable rooms Cons: 1. Parking is on the street, of you are coming with your car, you'll have to park in the street 2. Even though there's 24 hour reception, you'll have to be buzzed in. In winter, that's an inconvenience. Now for the rest of it, if you see on the travel agency website that it's a5 star hotel, trust me it's not. The rooms are worth giving 5 stars, but the hotel is 3 at best. The entire place has 6 rooms for guests and that's that. But you'll love the hosts; humble and welcoming. If I travel to Istanbul for leisure, this will be my first choice. The pictures posted are from the breakfast area which is on the terrace. Beautiful. And you'll see a lot of sea gulls.

Very small old timber hotel, six rooms. Lovely staff, rooms and kahvalti with views over The Sea of Marmara.

Our room (13) was nice but the bathroom was smelling awfully. I could mention some things I didn't like BUT the service was awesome! Abdulrahid from the reception is one of the kindest and helpful man I have ever met! He is there all day long (I don't know when he rests) and he did everything in his power to help me. Mrs Rosa very polite also. I really loved them! The owner should really appreciate those diamonds because my critic would be different if it wasn't for them. 5 stars for Abdulrahid! Abdul thank you so much!

100000% recommend this place if you are staying in the Old City part of Istanbul. The man who runs the place is truly the best of the best; he is extremely knowledge, helpful, and kind and he made us feel very taken care of and safe. He is what makes this hotel an amazing place to say. The women who work there were also extremely welcoming and sweet. The room we stayed in was perfect and was very comfortable and clean. They have a gorgeous rooftop terrace with a view of the sea and that is where you eat your breakfast, which was delicious each day. The location is absolutely perfect, so if I am ever back in Istanbul, this is where I will stay again!
