Great hotel. The rooms are a little small but very comfortable and clean. Nice beds. The pool is smaller than looks in the photos and could be a little more luxurious but it’s an American hotel so go figure. Great rooftop for drinks and beautiful restaurant with floor to ceiling glass. The location isn’t far from good shopping and great restaurants in Vitacura such as Carnal. Very helpful staff. To watch television in English, press the green button on the remote.

Interesting DoubleTree. The shower hot water would not work at times, just cool water, but the water pressure was very good. Two nights stay with two rooms, first night after 10 PM shower had hot water but not in the other room. Second night, no hot water after 8 PM, but hot water came out after 9 PM. Third day, no hot water at 3 AM-4AM. Lobby nice but the room corridor emanated musky smell and the rooms did also. It also seemed that the Hilton status did not matter much as the rooms were not assigned when we arrived at 9 PM, and even though both rooms were under the same reservation the front desk associate gave us room on tow different floors. After asking to put us on the same floor and changing room type from double to king, we got rooms on the lowest floor. There was no automatic upgrades prior to arrival as I have experienced at other Hilton brands and locations around the world, and when asked none available. We had another reservation for several days later, and I asked those rooms to be on the same floor. The next day, I was looking at my Hilton app, and someone had cancelled my next reservation without notifying me: no emails, nothing to let me know that a reservation has been cancelled by the hotel. No love lost as there are many other lodging options in Santiago. I would not recommend staying here. If you want to have a nice meal over looking a part of the city, you can do it elsewhere. We are going to try out the tapestry hotel in a week. When we walked through it seemed nicer and in a better walkable location.

Check in was smooth and easy. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Our room was spacious with great views of the city. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety. The location was ideal, quiet and tranquil. Great experience.

New Year's eve dinner 2023... Unfortunately I cannot recommend chosing this option ever again; but for me it's too late now. Maybe other few liked it, but for me it was quite a disappointing venue that feels almost like a last minute excuse or obligation. Almost no decoration, no champagne nor bubbly to receive 2024 and the staff started cleaning off the glasses, while we danced a little around the dessert buffet, just after midnight; clearly indicating that we should not finish our drinks and go home asap. Yes, they were nice, the company was good and the view is panoramic; over a dead city though without any fireworks or light show and the menu was definitely not worth over 100k. Rather frustrating and too bad for me, but I felt the urge and need to share my disappointment.

our room smelled and the bathroom/shower situation is horrible. my wife was unable to go the entire time we were there because it made entirely of glass that is not fully covered for privacy and does not lock at all. all the rooms are the same. in addition the shower leaks water onto the floor easily which is probably why the room smelled bad and has mold which caused us to have allergic reactions and my wife got sick. we had another set of days reservation but had to cancel and go to marriott a few blocks away. it is a shame since the food service was good and the breakfast and view were fantastic.
