Beautiful location and excellent service. Probably not an honest 4 star. Low stars because of the awful food. Resort better for kids and couples. Went as a solo adult. Pros: friendly service, very attentive. But more attentive with larger groups and families. Very clean! Rooms cleaned every day. Beautiful beach area. So scenic. Cons: food is awful. Great presentation, but no taste. Like worse than Old County buffet or similar low quality American buffet. Drinks are very weak. They let small kids go in hot tub and adult bar pool. It's unsafe and inappropriate. Overall, very expensive for all inclusive with inedible food. I tried 4 restaurants, all bars, cafe, and premium lounge. Only recommend sushi and anything made to order in front of you. Rooms outdated and need upgrades. Coffee maker is old fashioned. As a Hyatt Globalist, I would pass.

Overall, resort was clean but showed some signs of wear but not a huge deal. Food was solid across the board and had a decent number of options. The little cafe had great coffee drinks. Staff was wonderful and very helpful. The only annoyance was constantly being sold to on the beach but I'm guessing that's most resorts in Cancun.

We stayed for 4 nights middle of January 2024. Were pleasantly surprised with the check in process in the preferred lounge. Everyone was insanely nice and they made us feel very welcomed! Made it to the room, super clean and a gorgeous view! Everything was stellar. The food @ the restaurants and buffet and LOVED the breakfast selection! Juan and Vanessa were absolutely fantastic in the preferred lounge. This was one of our favorite spots hands down! Would absolutely recommend it here. We had a great time!

Recently returned on the 12/1/24 after a 10 day vacation here at Dream sands Cancun. Well where do I start, On arrival after my holiday consultant upgrading my room twice, I was told it didn’t have a balcony, So then paid $300-£260 to have this added. Walked up into the room and was absolutely blown away by how dated and rundown it was. It was like something from the 80’s (Clean) Yes but Probably one of the worst hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. I’d say, only around 10% of the hotel rooms have balcony’s. The place looks like a block of council flats. Buffet was very average, but the staff are great. Tried every restaurant and the Japanese was the only one I made a return visit to, Must add the staff are great in All the restaurants but the food is very poor in my opinion. Entertainment was like something from a 1980s social club and finishes by 10-10:30 Which isn’t a bad thing! The Spa was fantastic and once again, the staff cannot do enough for you (Probably my highlight of the trip. The beach is beautiful but get down early if you want a bed As sadly they’re just isn’t enough to go around. Would I go back to Cancun again…100% but I wouldn’t stay in Dream Sands if it was for free!👎🏽

This was by far the best experience I have had with a hotel in Cancun. This was my 6th time going to Cancun and I can honestly say the service the team provided will have me going back. We had the best hospitality from our waitress, spa, front desk. They were always happy and helpful and it didn't matter if you tipped them or not. The only thing that was rough was the bed (I did hear they are slowly upgrading those) they were hard as a rock. The 2 pictured made our vacation, he made sure we had the best seats by the ocean and she kept us full with drinks and yummy food. Can't wait to see you next year... Without knowing if they would be tipped or not they always had a smile on their face and ALWAYS talked about how great the working atmosphere was. Also a huge shout to our daily entertainment crew bingo, water aerobics and movie trivia were the best.
