I was very excited to stay here but BEWARE if you have to cancel!!! We had to cancel and we were charged for ALL THREE nights of bookings and never stayed even one night. We canceled by the appropriate day, but apparently their cancellation is by 2:00 pm, instead of midnight like most places. With traveling internationally, and time changes, I missed the cancellation window by hours, not days. They had NO courtesy or understanding to even credit me one or two nights, but charged us for ALL three even though we canceled two days in advance (but missed the ridiculous 2:00 pm time by hours). Who has a 2:00 pm cancellation? Very insensitive. Charged me for three days but Lost my potential business for life.

The room was ok, but it’s definitely not a luxury experience. Bathroom was extremely small, so much so that the sink was outside of it, in the room. Water pressure was good. The room had a weird smell initially, I’m not sure if we aired it or just got used to it. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Location is absolutely amazing. We walked almost everywhere and there’s a m1 station next to it. The floor and stairs are crooked and there is no elevator but it’s only an issue if you carry a lot of luggage. The bed was quite comfortable. “Thanks” to the small bathroom, you get more space in the room itself which I appreciate, since most hotel rooms are just a room full of bed.

Importantly, if you or a traveler with you has mobility issues, I would not recommend this hotel. They only have stairs, and some of the stairs are not level. Do not expect high level of service (at least they're honest that they are a 2-star hotel) - although the staff were nice and polite overall - and the building itself is in need of some renovations. The rooms are at least clean, and the location to many central Paris attractions makes up for any other shortcoming.

Absolute worst hotel I’ve ever seen in my life. Booked two rooms for three nights and paid a decent amount as it’s Paris in July. Walked in and the lobby smelled like urine. Assigned the two rooms and began the ascent up the crooked and dangerous stairs as there’s no lift. One of the rooms was directly on the staircase and you could hear everyone coming and going all night, as well as banging from next door. Requested a different room and was told there were none available but perhaps tomorrow. Fine, we’ll stick it out. Get to the other room and the carpet is disgusting and discolored and the room smells like mold. In the morning I go to shower. Couldn’t have been in there longer than 10 minutes but I get out and the room is flooded all the way into the bedroom. Looking at the design of the bathroom (no barrier between shower and the rest of the bathroom, everything goes downward into the bedroom) this problem was totally unavoidable. Explains the mold smell. Bathroom was just as tight in the other room, with not even room to properly move about and wash yourself. Prior to check out time, I reach out to the booking site and then go down to talk to reception. They refuse to refund me for any of the stay. A little more back and forth and they finally agree to refund the third night for both rooms, even though I wasn’t staying the second night and had already found another hotel. But that’s not all. I’m told the “credit card terminal isn’t functioning” (weird because it was functioning just fine the day before when they had to charge me) and that they could only do cash. Disgusting place scamming people left and right. Avoid at all costs.

Mixed feelings about this place. The location is good and the coffee machine downstairs is good and practical. However, we got a room on the last floor - old, with dirty carpet and a small bathroom that my partner had to almost kneel to take a shower. I woke up with some bites - we say bed bugs - they say it wasn’t - however we still had to wash our clothes at 60 C etc , just in case, and which is a lot of work! They changed our room which was better but then the water was cut while taking a shower - we had soap all over us - and when we called reception someone answered it was not heir problem and they weren’t bringing water up for us. Finally, semi naked in the hall (plus we got locked out) asking for help one of the cleaning ladies gave us a 1.5 lt. bottle of water to wash the soap off important areas. I think I would be less annoyed if they would have offered us a discount for next stay or really upgraded our room from the beginning or invited us for a free something - as a “we are sorry” this happened to us. But none happened and no real interest either. I put this review on Booking.com but they never put it out - probably protecting their customers - not us it seems! Anyways - it’s kinda of a lottery - if you get a nice room it’s a nice stay otherwise it can be tricky.
